I like it
This coffee has a beautiful aroma as a bean in the bag and tastes equally as good in the cup. Although the beans appear a little oily, they have not clogged up my bean to cup machine and went through fine.I had the variety pack, which is a good way to find out which coffee you prefer, and it also provides a choice of coffee depending on time of day, as long as you don’t fill the hopper of your machine, that is. I have bought more of the variety pack although am leaning towards supercharger as my personal favourite.

Really great coffee!
This was just what I needed. I need my coffee to deliver a real kick - but taste great too. This selection pack from CafePod gave me four delicious coffees to try, with a variety of strength ratings.Intense ( strength rating 9 ) was quite sweet, and nutty tasting.... Double Black ( strength rating 10 ) was quite spicy and chocolatey... Livewire ( strength 11 ) was really punchy and almost fruity.... and Supercharger ( strength rating 12 ) was definitely my favourite - a real caffeine hit that got me going !Will check out the other flavours in the range - thanks CafePod !

Weak and tasteless
If you don’t really like coffee this might be for you, it makes brown water. Very weak and wish washy. It is extremely cheap, however, so perhaps you can use double the quantity to give more of an impression of coffee.

Poor in comparison
One dimensional flavour profile with no hints of caramel nor citrus fruit. Albeit smooth, incredibly weak in comparison to caffeinated coffees. No mention of the decaffeination method. Grinded using hand and electric burr grinder, brewed with Aeropress, cafetiere and moka pot.

Top Quality Beans
I recently bought my first bean to cup machine and was recommended cafepod by a friend. These beans are great and now help me wake up before work every morning. They were a great price compared to some of the other brands. I will be buying again but might try a different flavour next time for a bit of variety!

Strong like I've never tasted before, but decent too
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I thought I was a fan of strong coffee before I tried these offerings. This coffee came as a variety based on how strong and powerful each brew is. Even the lowest grade will knock your socks off.Despite their strength each coffee has it's own value in terms of its taste. They all have varying depths and types of flavour which I will go into shortly. For me these coffees were too strong to be drank as black espresso, which is how I tested them for the purposes of this review. I much preferred then to beef up my lattes and flat whites. They really work well this way and can transform a basic morning latte into an awakening. Alternatively, I found these amazing at Turkish coffee, which is made using extremely finely ground strong coffee and boiled and boiled until it becomes like tar. Very thick. Then add brown sugar and a cardamom pod and drink like an espresso.Number 9 Intense: this brew was quite basic compared to the others. It was the lowest rated for intensity out of the four. This had strong nutty notes with the taste of roasted chestnuts gaining prominence in the flavour. However, it left a sharp aftertaste. I much preferred this in a flat white, where it delivered a smooth taste, the bitterness was neutralized by the milk, which was ultimately a pleasure to drink.Number Ten Double Black: I found this blend the easiest and most enjoyable to drink as an espresso out of the four. It was a bit more trouble to grind down to suit an espresso machine. When I drank this caramel notes were unmistakably embodied in this resulting in a subtly sweet espresso. This espresso crema dissolved fairly quickly unfortunately.Number 11 Livewire: This was a very smooth coffee to drink. Much easier to drink than number 12 but just as strong. This coffee reminded me of hazelnuts. It had a wonderful crema that remained on top until the espresso was cool enough to drink. The aftertaste was subtle but was quite sweet, almost fruity, like warm cranberries or Christmas cake berries.Number 12 Supercharged: This is a coffee not for the faint hearted. It is as dark as it is powerful. Despite its overwhelming power it manages to still have obvious tastes. I really noticed the taste of burnt dark chocolate with a sharp kick. It worked really well.I was impressed with the coffee beans in general. Upon opening each bag the beans had a distinct shine from their oilyness. This is usually a sign of an effective roasting process which sent from roasting to packaging quickly, so they arrived to me very fresh. The packaging looked great and each bag had a valve. These beans came with a sign up code to give you a discount code for future orders.
