820 mAh Replacement Battery for The Mobius ActionCam HD Camera

Received a faulty battery initially and was immediately sent a replacement. The replacement works great! Having the new case was nice as well!

Delighted! The new battery recorded 88% more data and time on the first charge (154 minutes of HD video), and these lithium batteries tend to improve during the first few cycles. My original battery was about two years old, was stored properly (approximately 40% charge), and had been used for maybe two dozen cycles. So its capacity was somewhat diminished, and the new one offers a big improvement.The battery arrived backed with foam inside a blank Mobius case. Changing the battery took about 60 seconds... very simple, just need a small screwdriver (Phillips). The old battery was mounted with servo (two-sided foam) tape. My new battery did not come with mounting tape, but you can probably re-use the tape that was on the original battery or skip the tape (unless your Mobius is subject to rough handling / shock / vibration).

I have 2 of these after-market mobius batteries. What a disappointment. After 1 week of only very limited use each, each of these had a problem:One of them wouldn't hold a charge; and after inspection I noticed that the battery had a scorch mark burned through from the cells through the aluminum coating on the outside! SCARY!. The other one displayed similar characteristics, and after examining the battery, it was so puffed up that it had broken the machine screw connections inside the mobius trying to make room!I use lipo batteries all the time, and they scare the heck out of me, but I haven't ever had a problem. These weren't even used as dash cams or FPV or aerial photography; they were just to shoot a few quick movies of my pups!I have not received a refund or credit after I shipped them back, either. Would not recommend.

Didn't charge

Used daily as a dash cam, started giving out after 4 months, now loses its charge fast even when off (self-discharge). Cuts out quickly too resulting in deleted video.I guess it's only $10, but it degrades too quickly for me to give it 5 stars. Not excited about having to open it up and swap it.Update: Back to buy another one. These things feel like they're on a year timer, they basically don't hold a charge after one year of use. But Mobius is still unrivaled for what I want. Also, the first time I ordered this it came with a replacement Mobius housing - at the time I thought that was an unnecessary bonus, however this time they did not send one and I found I needed the one they sent the first time! The screws used in the case are very easy to strip out especially after repeated disassembly. So be careful when you do your disassembly. It also did not come with the mounting tape this time either, I chose not to use mounting tape as the fit is so tight anyway it probably doesn't matter.Also, I would use the supercap if I used it only as a dash cam but I use it kind of like a gopro half the time too. I usually am happy if it lasts 10mins on battery but after a year it won't last a full minute.

Got the battery, lost the camera.

Great replacement battery, especially if you're replacing the older 80 minute one. I get 30 minutes more time out of it. It's thicker than the original, but it still fits. They sent a replacement case with it too, but the case was exactly the same as the original, and I still had to reuse the sticky pad to hold the battery in since they didn't tape it in the new case. So, the extra case was kinda pointless.

This battery is an excellent replacement for the one that comes with your Mobius camera. It was extremely easy to change out. Find the videos online where guys shows you how to change it out and you'll be able to do it within a few minutes. This battery lasts much longer than the original.
