Black Cherry

I wanted this CD for more than 7 years. I love it one of her best CDs. Only 10 more to go.

The problem with Koda Kumi is that her music is always so consistently good. So it's very difficult for me to write a review that states something otherwise.Kuu-chan has REALLY outdone herself this time. "Black Cherry" shows off her talent with the most ear-grabbing sounds that one could never get tired of. Within this album, I felt she displayed her artistic growth really well because I could literally FEEL her presence within these tracks! This was an album I could sit down and listen to from start to finish because of its originality and uniqueness.Out of all the albums I have from her, I can proudly say that this one's my favorite. I just love her equal combination of mixing urban R&B with classical J-pop. For me, it brought out a real sense of balance that thrived within the album. Her silky yet seductive vocals stands out in the most amazing ways! She truly has a gift and she knows how to use it!And I absolutely ADORED the PV's! Throughout the music videos, I couldn't help but smile as Kuu-chan mixed her cute, playful half alongside her sexy, provocative half. I don't know about you guys, but I found that positively awesome!All the songs within this album were masterfully put together and immaculately crafted, there's no doubt about that. But the ones that stood out a little more were: "INTRODUCTION" "Get Up & Move!!!" "人魚姫 (Mermaid Princess)" "Puppy" "夢のうた (Dream Song)" "JUICY" "月と太陽 (The Moon and the Sun)" "Cherry Girl" "恋のつぼみ (Love's Bud)" "I'll be there" "運命 (Fate)" and finally, "With Your Smile"."Black Cherry" did not disappoint my expectations in the least. If anything, it surpassed them! Kuu-chan flexed her artistic muscle beautifully within this album!Overall, this was an outstanding album in terms of composition, creativity and vocal strength. An album you should be definitely picking up!

Kumi has done it again with this new album! I was hesitant at first, being that the sounds of the songs are all so different, but I really like that now. This is a CD that I can listen to in whatever mood I am in. This CD really does have something for the old fans and for the new.

koda kumi's brand new cd. again great songs and great beats. she has slow r n' b styl tunes just as well as faster beats. really a great voice.

「人魚姫」はヘビーで非常にいい。「夢のうた」も名バラード曲。「Cherry girl」は素敵なサウンド。「月と太陽」「運命」も佳曲。全般的にバラエティに富んでいるという感じ。

色っぽいですね！

エロかっこいい曲ばかりで、最高です。懐かしい曲もあったり、聞いたことない曲もあったりどっちも好きです。
