Needed for the ultimate First Aid Kit
I searched and searched for the ultimate First Aid Kit, but could not locate one that had everything I wanted in it. I ended up buying a smaller $25+ version that had a LOT of smaller, individually wrapped items and then researched about 10 on the market that I liked parts of and printed out their contents. I went line by line and crossed out what I did not want in mine and highlighted what I did want. I bought a very large, plastic tool box to store it all in and now I am ready for BEAR! The entire "personalized" kit is NOT cheap, but it is customized with anything and everything but the kitchen sink. If you use coupons (Bed Bath & Beyond) and gift cards, etc., you can save some money when building the kit and - VERY IMPORTANT - if you have a flex spending account, MANY - if not most - of these first aid items are reimbursable with FLEX SPENDING DOLLARS!!!

Functional.
These worked pretty good for nursing school. Although one didn't work out of the box.Recommendation - buy a multi pack (even if its not this one) to have many to choose from. Easy to sit these down and lose them.PRO - the pupil size on the size (used this many times) and the clip to hang on one of my many pockets, kept it from getting set down or lost in my pockets.

Not bad, but not particually great... but for 6 bucks...
Ok, first... one of the penlights did NOT work right out of the package (I am going to contact them about a replacement after this post and will re-post results). Second, they arrived much faster than anticipated! Third, they are a GREAT price and product for the Nursing Student!!! I keep the 6-pack in my backpack and I can grab and go. (If I were fulltime Neuro... can't say I would buy them as the beam color is off and I suspect they will not last very long; but we'll see so don't pre-judge!) Fourth color is not specific so they are really only good for PERRLA etc. Only gave 3 stars since the one was dead and they definately shout $6 when it comes to quality. Not too bad though all in all.(UPDATE... 4 months later... - I have to post an updated comment... these are NOT worth even the $6. PLUS, I was promised, via email from the supplier, that they would replace a DOA unit... guess what... NO REPLACEMENT and no responce to 2nd request. The batteries don't last either. I wound up giving away the rest of the working units to classmates and they all went bad almost right away. Save your money and buy another product!!!)

Working penlights. Simple.
These penlights get the job done, and are more than adequate for daily patient exams. The light is bright enough easily. Not quite sure how each individually will last, but the price makes them appropriate for when they're lost or when a colleague needs one. Will regularly re-buy these when needed, but the six that come in the package should last awhile.

Great for Nursing Sudents!
I am a nursing student, so I have to do examinations pretty frequently. I received them maybe 3-4 months ago (the one my school gave me quickly burned out). These last longer because they only illuminate when the pin is pushed down (preventing the light burning out quickly). I like the fact that the penlights have gauges on the side to easily recognize pupil size. I also like that it comes in a multi-pack so I'm not stuck when it actually goes out. The some of the lights on the pens have dimmed a little bit.

Work well but don't like the imprinted advertising
got these for work and they work ok but I didn't count on the broadly imprinted company logo that appears on the flip side of the pupil size indicators. Makes them look like I got them from a pharmaceutical rep or as a giveaway. Probably won't reorder. The plastic sleeve that protects the on off sensor has to be kept on the penlight or the slightest contact will turn the light on and drain the battery. What do you expect from a throw-away penlight? Well, not to have to throw them away so soon.

Great quality product
Great quality product. Lasted me a long time per pen before the light ran out. Good product. Will definitely buy more when I run out.

Cheapies are sometimes what you need.
I like these because they are just enough to get the job done without breaking a bank. The light does not blind patients so it is actually effective unlike the LED lights that blind people and give incorrect results. Also there is no worries when a co-worker or student pulls the ol' slip of the wrist, or when you simply lose it on a chaotic scenario.
