Singer Featherweight 221 LED Bulb World's Brightest

Easy to install, bright. Just seems odd to have a very bright LED light on my old featherweight, but it sure lights up the work area well.

First let me say shipping was super fast...I like that! Second, I can not believe how well this light works!!! The pictures tell the truth! But, best of all the lights are pretty easy to install. One of my Featherweights is 80 years old and she was a little tricky getting the light installed, but the other old girl was a piece of cake. They both took less than 5 minutes and a simple screw driver. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. It's so hard to believe something so tiny can produce so much light that doesn't get hot. I know the light cost a lot but they are so worth it! Before all I had was the old hot bulb and a little movable arm spot light that I would keep hitting accidentally and have to readjust constantly. I would find myself straining to see my work only to notice my light was off target. Now I am no longer straining to see my work and I have great light on both sides of my presser foot! I occasionally use my Featherweight to quilt and the old round bulb would almost scorch my roll under the arm just below the light. Now I don't have to worry about that and will use the old girl for more quilting.

Great bulb, the wife loves it. NB: this 'bulb' will only work with the std Singer FW bulb socket. Some of the repro replacements sockets are not the same length which makes the bulb fit incorrectly.

The light was delivered quickly. Due to arthritic fingers, I was not able to install the light,but my husband had the light installed within five minutes. I have recently used the light ata poorly lit retreat center, and it made all the difference.

Not at all what I expected

So glad I bought them, the only complaint was it took far to long to get the items in the mail.

Wonderful addition to my featherweight! Love that it stays cool and the bright light is great!
