The one you need probably depends on the chair or stool you normally sit on
A bit pricey but worth it.I am 5'11" and I use both depending on the chair/stool/sofa I am sitting on. When sitting on a sofa or low stool my knees angle a bit upward and the small one is perfect. When I sit on normal height chair (like a dining room chair) my knees angle out horizontally or slightly downward. In that case the large is perfect. I sometimes hold the guitar "flamenco style" (on my right leg normally with the right leg crossed over the left) and on a normal height chair I find the small cushion works pretty well (i.e., no longer crossing the leg so I can sit normally). For a long time I used the gitano guitar support (frame that attaches with suction cups) and was quite satisfied. However, over time the suction cups wear out and the frame frequently comes loose (got used to hearing it drop off to in the middle of the night). Worse, the suction cups can damage your finish over time, at which point the suction cups no longer will hold even if you get new ones or refresh the old ones with Armor All. Eventually I decided to try these cushions and am very happy. My primary concern was that the height is somewhat fixed and I would no longer have the flexibility of being able to adjust the height the way I could with the frame and suction cup support. However, in practice you can make small adjustments. Also, with the frame and suction cup support even though you can move it around it is a bit of a pain because the suction cups are quite strong.

I like it for a while
I don't know....I go back & forth on this one. I like it for a while, then my arm gets tired. It's a great idea, but I'm not sure if it's the correct shape or height.

Great ergonomic addition to any guitar player's list of equipment
Like all the other reviewers, I found this to be an outstanding way to support your guitar and eliminates the need for a footstool.I have found, though, that the large version seems to prop up the guitar a little higher than I would like ... especially my dread sized. I found that if you rotate the cushion a little more to inside of your thigh, it reduces the height a bit and still stays put.I'm ordering the small to see if this size works better for me. I may be looking to trade in the large, once the small arrives.

For me, I find it unstable.

Dynarette cushion
Good quality materials and brilliantly simple design - does the job! I can now play guitar with feet flat on the floor, left arm in a good position esp for the trickier calassical & spanish pieces, much better ergonomics as no twisted spine from using foot stool. I would reccommend to any guitarist prepared to switch to left knee playing and who practices/plays more than a couple of hours a week.

Makes playing a lot easier on my back
I have been using a footstand when playing accoustic and classic guitar, which causes me lots of back pain as I have a ruptured disc. However, this allows me to play with both feet flat on the floor. It makes playing a lot more comfortable and I don't need to use a strap, which I don'c care for. This is a great accessory and worth every penny!

I am glad for this cushion
I have the smaller one and the larger one allows me to hold my guitar at a more vertical angle. I have a back injury and can no longer sit using a foot stool. I am glad for this cushion:)
