Great overall, but without a way to control the VR at all I can't see telling someone to buy this model
Cons:Works great until you want to actually interact with anything- no sliding magnet and your only choice is to get a bluetooth remote to control anything which defeats the purpose of getting a more expensive version of cardboard. BUT when you do have that remote and you do cut it to fit your Note 2 phone size (you have to cut the edges a bit to make it fit but it fits fine once you remove the right side holder.Pros:Once you get past the phone fit and a bluetooth controller it works incredibly well for what it is. I experienced some truly mind boggling 3D effects just from watching home movies with a VR Cinema App you can get free. The things you can see with this are incredible and well worth the price but they really should have advertised in big letters that this has no control (for the phone/screen) mechanism.I got this as a go-between before getting the Samsung Gear VR as a compromise but feel it really prepared me for the more immersive and truly stunning Gear product, but I won't throw this away as an inferior product once my Gear VR comes, I'll definitely give this to a friend to get them interested in VR overall as it is truly stunning what you can do with a phone and this simple device. I would suggest anyone without a Bluetooth controller or who doesn't want or have the funds to get one to stick with one of the other products that has built in magnetic/NFC controllers (like the real Google cardboard or any plastic version you can strap on has).Build quality is amazing, overall ease of use and ability to clean both sides of the lenses is great- for what it is this is an optimal Google Cardboard replica in much better construction/durability- but without that controller it makes no sense for anyone to purchase THIS model when there are others out there. I lived and learned but if you have or want to get a controller (bluetooth) then it's wonderful at this price and a great way to use all the cardboard apps.

Sturdier Than Cardboard Alternatives, Great Versatility, No Magnet
Got this in yesterday, played with it quite a bit last night and a couple other people check it out as well. The build seems to hold up, though I wouldn't call it solid. It certainly does have versatility as to what phones it can accommodate. The movable plastic basically clicks through different positions so there is no way to set it precisely, but for the price I can't complain too much. It's definitely sturdier than any cardboard alternative made out of actual cardboard, and it doesn't seem to rub off cheap paint like some of the other models I've seen for sale.I have to say kudos on the adjustable lenses and the head-straps which seem like a decent quality and do hold the device onto your head well, even if the "comfortable" rubber face begins to feel uncomfortable after awhile. I found that even with the straps holding it to my face, it was often easier and more comfortable to just kind of hold it in place for comfort. The most glaring downside is the lack of a magnet switch which is used in many of the VR apps I downloaded under the Google Cardboard project, but even this is manageable. When I bought it, I just assumed it had everything that a standard Google Cardboard kit would have, so this was a mild disappointment, but not bad enough to warrant returning it. I found the simplest solution to be connecting a Bluetooth controller of some kind (keyboard or mouse; I used my Ouya controller) and using that to make input selections. If you clamp your phone in between the front flaps to hard and your phone's power button is on the side, there's a good chance it will press down the power button and either switch off your screen or potentially long-press the power button prompting for a shutdown or restart.Overall I would say that it's great for the price, but could still use some fine-tuning. I would definitely recommend buying one just to try it out. The novelty of it alone is pretty fantastic.

Okay for Proof of VR Concept
The Good: It does work. You can also take a magnet (not included) and swipe it along the end of the phone (depending on orientation) for compatibility with "Works with Cardboard" applications. But it would have been nice to have a magnet provided. This also works with the Homido Player software for iOS (Apple 6). For the person who said in an earlier review that they didn't understand why everyone's excited about VR, you should learn how to use it with VR Player software before you look at YouTube side-by-side videos. It does work and you will not see two images side-by-side as the Player converges them into one image. Nice for viewing both regular movies through the headset / player and for 3D effects. As a note, the Homido Player has a head tracking object in the viewer that you can manipulate to click on on/off or start buttons. The Bad: You will not want to strap this onto your head. It's too heavy with the phone in and not comfortable. But just let the straps dangle (or take them off) and hold the headset up with your hands. Also, you will not enjoy this headset if you take your iPhone 6 out of its case. This is because when you lay the phone into the headset and close the vise like grippers, it presses agains the phone's on/off button. Having it in a protective iPhone case will keep the button recessed enough so that it's not always being turned off as you're trying to start up the headset. Recommend they provide a magnet with instruction on how to use it with Cardboard Apps and also recommend that you will need to download a "VR Player" for your headset to work and screen the screen to format itself for different VR Apps or videos. This will satisfy your "VR Itch", or curiosity, until the more advanced consumer-ready devices such as the Oculus (Desktop) comes out or the next generation of mobile headsets come out in the future.
