Xperia XZ2 Compact Case, CIBOLA Genuine Leather Wallet Case Folio Magnetic Book Design with Kickstand, Credit Card Slots and Magnetic Closure Protective Cover (Brown, Xperia XZ2 Compact)

There are a limited number of wallet cases available for this phone.I tried two of the "cheaper" cases first (with no reviews) and had to send both back for different reasons.I wish I would have bought this one first. It's solid. It feels nice. It looks nice. My wife (who has a much more popular Pixel phone) has said she may buy one for her phone.This indicates it's an excellent case even for a phone with more competition in the wallet case department.** After about 6 months, I had to remove the phone from the case and the "high quality insert" cracked in 3 places. It's like it became brittle. The leather case still looks and feels awesome, but the plastic piece they put inside to hold the phone is apparently cheap. I emailed CIBOLA and they offered me a $10 credit which is better than a sharp stick in the eye, but I don't think I"ll order another of these cases.

I needed a small phone so I got Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact. I always use case and screen protector. My previous phone was Nexus 5X and I had a phone grip with card holder attached to the back of my case and it was the best thing ever. So I wanted to make the same setup for the new phone, but it's not possible because the ID will cover the fingerprint sensor on XZ2 Compact. I looked at hundreds of different cases and figured I am going with the wallet case because carrying ID is important to me.I did not want the buckle because I wanted to make sure I can open the case with one hand. I wanted the case to look well-made and provide decent protection. I picked this case based on the 5-star review of just one person.The case feels and looks nice.Fingerprint sensor is still accessible although it might be hard to use with long nails - too deep of a drop. The case is elevated from the sensor for almost a quarter of an inch.The magnet isn't strong enough to hold the case shut tight. I put my ID in the case and the magnet is completely useless. ID+credit card makes the cover stay open and flap around.I am still trying to figure out what to do with the cover side when I type or call.The mold case for the phone itself is nice. I like it a lot. It aligned perfectly. It's made of a nice to touch plastic. All openings for buttons are in the right places. It's almost completely open on the top and the bottom of the phone yet the phone feels very secure inside the mold.Overall, this case is ok. But I am not sure this is what I was hoping it would be. I am thinking to convince myself to just carry my ID in a regular wallet and buy a different case. Which is a clear indication of this case not earning 5 star.
