Artemis 2 Biometric Handgun Safe and Security Case. Fast Finger Print Access

Granted, I've had it for a few years. But it just stopped working with no warning, which could be really bad if you expect proper function, and you end up scrambling to get the key from its spot. The batteries are good (I even tried replacing them), but the light will go green and stay that way without actuating the lock mechanism, even after reprogramming the print. The light won't go out without removing the batteries. So the fingerprint part no longer functions. It looks like the company is out of business anyway, but if you happen to be looking this up to buy it at a garage sale or something, beware.

After setting up the finger print reader, it works flawlessly and very quickly.

I have owned this product for about a month. It was VERY easy to setup and holds my full frame pistol and another smaller revolver. I read the reviews and I have to concur that the fingerprint recognizing scanner requires practice. I definitely think developing the muscle memory to open it in a stress situation is key because it doesn't always recognize my print immediately. So, practice practice practice!

I was looking for a secure and affordable biometric gun safe to secure my handgun from my toddler. The Artemis 2 was perfect. It is lightweight, so my bedside nightstand drawer isn't weighed down. One cannot open it without a registered fingerprint or the key. It maintains dozens of fingerprints, plenty enough for my wife and I to register all fingers and thumbs. It has worked flawlessly every time, and is quick. There are no buttons to press prior to applying your finger, just press and open. This is exactly what I was looking for, and the customized padding allows for a perfect fit for any average size handgun. I highly recommend!

The product states it can enroll up to 200 finger prints, however, the fingerprint scan routinely stops working requiring the use of the override key. This device is used multiple times daily to secure door keys but is not reliable.

The product arrived on time and was in good condition. It was extremely easy to program and works very fast. The directions were easy to follow and clearly defined.
