CleanKind 12 Pack Multi-Purpose Non-Scratch Cellulose Cleaning Sponges | Washing Up Kitchen & Bathroom Scourer

We usually buy SPONTEX sponges but they are £2.50 for 2! A bit pricey! That’s why we decided to try some other ones. We tried quite few from local shops but they weren’t as good. So now we trying these cellulose sponges. They are alright. The “ scrubbing side “ isn’t as good as on Spontex sponges … I like that they are blue because these cheap ones from shops ( 10 for £1 ) usually are bright yellow or pink which look ridiculous in your kitchen sink !Will i buy them again?Not sure.I think I will give a go to some other brands and see if there are any good…if I won’t find anything as good as Spontex I’ll come back to these ones.

I use scouring pads not only for dishwashing but also to clean marks off surfaces before decorating. Cheap pads have a sponge side which just smears what you are trying to remove. The cellulose sponge on this has more purchase and does as good a job as the most expensive brands stocked by supermarkets. Cheap imitations available have a problem with the green dye on the abrasive side bleeding out creating a colour-wash and the sponge side breaking up! These pads suffer from none of that and are a thoroughly good product at a very reasonable price.

Compared to the big brand and much more expensive ones I usually use these are good value but don't last 1/3rd as long - the scourer part of them disintegrate after a couple of weeks. That's ok cos you get more of them - so it's up to you if you'd rather just spend more for a better product.

I NORMALLY BUY 3M SCOTCHBRITE NON-SCRATCH SCOURERS (FROM COSTCO) FOR KITCHEN & BATHROOM BUT DECIDED TO TRY CLEANKIND EQUIVALENTS: THESE SEEM TO BE VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL IN QUALITY & PERFORMANCE BUT SLIGHTLY CHEAPER).

They dont last as long as a more expensive brand but are good value for money.

In the stockpiling frenzy of lockdown I was not able to get hold of the Spontex version of these sponges. They look very similar and do a perfectly good job for about a week, but the durability of the non-scratch pad is very poor so they ended up in the bin very quickly. As a result they are wasteful and not good value for money compared to my usual brand, so I won't buy them again if I can avoid it.

Pleased with my purchase. I have been using one of these for a few days now. I wanted one that is absorbent (not the sort that just pushes water around in circles when you’re trying to wipe the worktop) and this fits the bill. Scourer is good too. I like the feeling that they are eco friendly and will biodegrade. They did turn the washing up water blue the first few times, though!
