Nice, inexspensive, works good
My wife uses this DashCam daily. I wired it to come on anytime the car is running. We use the silicone boot on the dash of a 2010 Prius and it does not slide even in a hard corner. Of all the dash mounted items I have had in the past, it is the only one that stays put. The screen is very clear and the view angle is wide enough to see cars coming from sides streets. This cam is a good value for the money. Fortunately, we haven't had to test the impact freeze. One very dark night as we were traveling in the country, something ran out of the tall grass and hit the passenger side of the car just out of the view of the headlights. We pulled off at the next exit, and the video was good enough to see it was a deer. That really impressed me. I will eventually get one for every vehicle we own. It might be this year's Christmas presents to a select few.

Easy installed, picture quality is great
I have used several car camera and this is the best one I have been used and using with respect to installation, picture quality and overall quality. First of all, there is no need to adhere to the front window that actually would fall down after a period of time. Using this camera, all I need is just putting it in front of my wheel with its silicone mat which works very great and stable even when driving on highway. Second, because of its wide angle, the camera can record all the picture and video in front of my vehicle. And this is the way I want as I don't want to miss any information in case anything happen...From the day it was delivered, I can say its overall quality is great since I have been used it for about 2 months, there is no need to do anything for it at all, it stays as it is and recording function works very well.

Not a bad unit for the money.
It's basically a good unit. Lightweight and very easy to use and set up. I wish the mounting post was about 2 inches longer. The cons.....small 2" screen, screen is set at an angle which makes it hard to see when mounted either on the dash or windshield. Because of the viewer screen angle, the screen reflects off the windshield when driving at night. I haven't used the motion detection feature yet so I didn't grade that feature.Update 5-9-19 Sent email to Denicer reference free gift as indicated by the enclosed card when receiving the dash cam. Email fell on deaf ears so don't expect a free gift.Update 5-9-20 One year later. Went to view the SD card and couldn't open file. Unable to update software as the download says this download not accepted. Wrote to Dencier customer shrive a few days ago. No reply.

Decent All Around
Specs- Uses H.264 16Bit (A Really Decent Codec)- Audio records at 32.000 kHz (low quality, but the Mic really picks up sounds. It's loud)- Records at 30 Frames Per Second (Standard USA TV Playback)My Details- Using a 32GB card and setting the video to a 1326x746 resolution (Second highest available), I get about 9 1/2 hours of recording time.- Records video at 25 minute intervals (Not one long recording session). This may be because of the 2GB limit, per file, on the card. But either way, it's great when connecting the camera to a computer. It keeps the files manageable for copying over.- Records at a decent viewing angle.- Night driving is good, but there are is a bit of glare issues from lights and video noise. Still decent and shows more than enough details for viewing. (I still have to see if it improves using the highest video resolution.)- When connecting to a computer, the camera automatically gives you the option to connect straight to the card or to use it as a web camera.- I preferred to mount it on the silicon matt. Just keep it clean from dust between the car and its base and it will not move around. A plus is that it doesn't have any smell. There's no rubbery smell at all.- I haven't used any of the motion detection. I put the camera away when I'm not in my car. I want to prevent any theft.Non Critical Issues (Cons)- The overall design.- The top angles of the camera are not symmetrical. It's not easy to level the camera to the horizon. I ended up using the screen's basal to level the camera.- The length design also opens up. You have to align it carefully to make sure it's pointing forward.- The screen's angle doesn't really let me see what it's recording when I'm using the silicone matt. It's angled for better viewing when hanging upside down on the windshield.- When using the windshield mount, you have to set the camera to rotate the screen. But it will record video upside down. It's not easy to fix without some computer software (After recording and copying over to a computer).
