Sassy and fun book for single friends!
I came across this book at a thrift store and used to have it in my apartment with my roommates. Years later, I bought a copy for one of my old roommates to have.... it's just snappy and fun and makes excellent points about being a single woman and that being perfectly OK!

Is that it?
This isn't what I'd call a 'normal' book. It reminded me of childrens books, with just a few sentences per page, trying to sound funny. To be fair, a few points were funny, but the whole book certainly isn't LOL. You can flip through this book in a short time, and singletons may be able to relate to it, but over all I wouldn't recommend the cost of the shipping and handling, in my opinion.

Meh
Tries WAY too hard to be funny/witty. Clearly the author has a lot of bitterness/anger to work through.

fun read
great book for any age female that isn't looking for Mr. Right to get married, maybe just Mr. Right Now to hold her over. a good reminder that you don't have to be married to matter.

Terrific Thoughtful Retorts for the Taunted Unmarried
As Ms. Salmansohn says, this is "the book every single girl needs to defend against nudgy family and friends." But this witty, humorously illustrated book is more than that, it is a wise look at the virtues of carefully choosing a partner rather than racing to the altar with just anyone. As such, this book is of equal value to young unmarried men.The lines and the cartoons are equally funny, and nicely reinforce each other. I can only reproduce some of the former, but they will give you a flavor of the book.". . . I can't fix you up with any cute guys. However, I can fix you up with some feisty comebacks."". . . hold out for a soulmate, instead of a cell mate."". . . Hitler got married.""And God is even in a single parent household.""Why make one man happy, when you can make a lot of men happy?""Married versus Marred""Altar versus Altered""Marriage versus Mirage""A hit single"But my favorite was " . . . being careful about whom I marry means I've . . . skipped a few divorces."The best part of the book is that it will cause any single person (and parent of said single person) to consider the alternative to being happily unmarried, which could be being unhappily married. That's well worth thinking about. After you have had a good laugh with this book and considered its serious lessons, I suggest that you take at look at Relationship Rescue, which many married couples can use to improve their marriages. By examining that book now and doing the exercises in it, I suspect you'll find Mr. or Ms. Right sooner and build a better life together. As Edith Piaf used to say, "Je ne regrette rien, j'avance."Have a great life, unmarried or married!

Wonderful little book helps women feel good about singlehood
In this delightful little book the Authore Karen Salmansohn gives 26 witty but truthful and factual reasons to tell people for being single. The illustrations are stylish and clever and just enhance the subject matter of the book. This is the kind of book you should have as a keepsake or give as a gift to all your single female friends and even Salmansohn suggest that it should be given to whoe she calls your"nudgy" friends and relatives. At my age I am asked all the time " why aren't you married" a lot and if something is wrong with my appearence or something because I am not married. So I knew when I saw this book in a catalog I just had to order a copy for myself and I highly reccomend it to all single women everywhere. I thought even of getting a copy of it to send to a long time friend of mine in another country where people put pressure on women to get married. This is a book I highly reccomend and enjoy.

Laura Reviews: Even God is Single
Ever been single? 100% of you just said yes since none of us were married when we were born.Salmonsohn is uniquely hilarious in her assessment of singledom, famous singles and God as a single person. If God is single, and God (if you believe in one) is pretty cool and generous, then all singles must be just as fabulous, right?Whether you're currently single, married, a raging serial monogamist, have multiple partners or (gasp!) simply want to be single to avoid the hassle, you'll love this parody. Because we were all there at one time or another. And might be again.Check out this and other reviews at: [...]

Good nuggets & so funny.
I bought this book thinking it was a Christian book for singles. However, I found some of the advice useful and identified with the problems singles face such as pressure from parents, friends, etc.She also talked about how to live the single without conforming to the usual stereotype, the only part I didn't agree with was sex, it is ok, she wasn't graphic! As a christian I don't believe in sex before marriage so I totally disagreed with having meaningless sex when you feel the 'urge'.I will recommend this book, 'mix it up' with advice from single christian authors. It is such a tiny book full of cartoon type captions, can be read in less an hour, very witty and funny. I am keeping mine!
