I have used Sweeney's Sonic Mole Spikes to deter voles in my yard for a few years, both the battery-powered and solar versions. Neither have lasted more than a single season; oftentimes I would check to be sure they were still making vibration and noise only to find that they were not working at all - even with fresh batteries. Or, if solar-powered, it wouldn't work until I moved it slightly - then it would vibrate and make noise - then randomly stop again. Frustrated, I gave up on that brand, and found these from Vekibee! Upon arrival, I put them together, and was sure the seals were tightly on both the tip and the top. I have checked these weekly since purchasing them seven months ago, and every single one is still working... consistently. They definitely deter voles from setting up shop in your yard, HOWEVER, if you have an established infestation - like I do under the pad in my garage - these may not be enough to get them to move out. I have rid my entire lawn of voles, but those that live under my garage will NOT budge - even smoking them out didn't work. Conclusion: If you have a new infestation, these guys will keep voles on the move and prevent them from settling in, but if you have a set-in infestation you may not be able to rid yourself of them with these spikes alone. Still, highly recommended.

Cheap! Received this afternoon, left to charge for a few hours and went to stick them in the ground. The second one I decided was not in a good spot so I pulled it out of the ground. $80 so of course I rid not expect these things to leave the tip in the ground! But it did.. and pulling it out made the whole thing come apart. Mind you it just rained all day, the soil is super soft! For an $80 product this is absolute nonsense and this will be returned immediately.

In one part of my yard the Vekibees are working great and have pushed the gophers away from the house; however, on the opposite side of the house they are not working at all. As seen in the picture, this gopher comes out of his hole about three feet from the Vekibee as seen in background of picture and continues to destroy the yard. None of the 8 Vekibees I have bought are more than 20 feet apart, so I'm not sure what the difference is from one side of the house to the other. Granted the gopher pictured here is no longer living, it didn't leave even after a month of having them installed.

Just received today and they all work coming out of the box. My complaint is that I tried to move one after i put in the soil and found out they r not designed to b removed. The tips come off from the shaft and have to b dug out, they r only held on by 2 o-rings. Do yourself a favor and epoxy the tips on in case u ever want to move/remove them.

I installed these quite some time ago, and still sounding off despite some heavy rains occasionally. I bought them because there were many dirt mounds forming here and there. I haven't seen any new mounds now in a long time. I had some cheaper ones at Home Depot that didn't last, so I am well pleased with these. Just make sure the sun shines down on them for at least a few hours during the day to keep them well charged.

These were easy to install into the yard, but I am still waiting on the results. As of today, it doesn't seem as though we have any new mole activity, but there was so much previously, that we are unsure if some of the old stuff, is not just new.I think we are satisfied but just is still out, after just three weeks.

After 15 months, only 2 out of the 6 units still work - seems like a lot of money for such a short service life. As far as effectiveness, they seem to help, but certainly not and end to all your mole problems. My next option will likely be that device that kills them with a .22 cartridge, nothing else seems to work.

The operate as intended, so I give them 3 stars. I knocked off 2 because it doesn't work. The moles are still burrowing in my yard even with these operating and closer than necessary. Looks like I have to use other means to get rid of the pests.
