Great product, poor experience with Wilton Print Wizard
Overall, this is a good product at a great price. The cardstock and vellum are good quality and do not look like a $9/package kit, in my opinion. I wanted something fairly basic, and the vellum with the silver hearts adds a nice touch. I did not use the white ribbon and bows, however. They were a bit rumpled-looking from being packaged together in the bottom of the box - to be fair, if I worked on each piece or maybe pressed, I'm sure they would flatten out just fine. I didn't really have the time to do that, though, and wanted to incorporate my wedding color, so I assembled a little differently. I'll try to attach pictures, but the vellum, pre-cut sheets have a little tab and a slot, I think the intent is to have that portion meet on the back of the invitation, and you just slide the tab into the slot. It seemed a little loose, I'd probably have used an adhesive dot to keep it firmly tacked down, if I assembled as pictured. I wound up getting some adhesive, fabric rose embellishments at Michael's; I folded the ends of the vellum wrap to meet on the front of the invitation, and then stuck the rose on top of the tab to hold everything together. The roses were $4/6 roses, so for my 40 invites, that added $28 to the cost, but all in all, they were still inexpensive, comparatively speaking. My main issue and the reason for the 4 is the poor quality of the Wilton print template and available assistance. There are no instructions on or in the kit itself, but it's pretty basic, so shouldn't have been an issue. The template/print wizard on Wilton's site wasn't the easiest to use but I got everything formatted in a way I liked. The problem came in trying to print the invitations - I went into my print server settings and set the custom paper size to accommodate the invitation and reply cards (both are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, because there are two reply cards to a sheet). They kept printing offset to the left and lower than they should be, and a printed border was added, which should not be there because the actual cards have the silver border. I ran through all of the test papers, trying to resolve this issue. I finally called Wilton and was pleasantly surprised that my call was answered promptly, with no hold time. I explained the issue and that I'd researched it extensively online - I found many complaints about the printing not working correctly, but no solutions and Wilton's troubleshooting had nothing specific. At first, the rep said she couldn't give me any advice on my printer but that I needed to know how to set a custom page size. I assured her I had done this, and it didn't fix the problem. She then said she could give me the margin settings. They were pretty unique (maybe a graphic artist would be familiar?): L margin .5, all others .75. That's a pretty important piece of information not to included with any instructions. I thought, ok, this should do it and thanked the lady. Well...it didn't. It printed about the same but at about 2/3 the size it should have been. I probably should have tried setting the page size back to default but I didn't have time to play around with it anymore. I used MS Word, and in the document changed the page size to 8.5H x 5.5W. I "think" I left the border on there but I can't say for sure. This did the trick, finally.Anyway, I'm pleased with how the invitations came out, and would recommend, especially if you are good with printing! ***Slight update, I went to mail everything, and because of the little pearl in the middle of the rose sticking up (I thought) , they said it would cost another 21 cents each to mail. Since I already had enclosures that brought postage up to 70 cents, I took everything home and painstakingly removed the pearl. All for naught...when I went back to USPS, it was still an extra 21 cents each. The clerk told me if they can feel "something" in the envelope, it becomes a package. As far as I can tell, the bow that came with the kit would also be palpable, and would increase the postage.

Wilton should stick to cakes
Positive: I love the look of the invitations. They are fun but still classy. Once they printed correctly, my wedding invites looked so awesome! The price is great! It was very very difficult to find a decent price for invitations. Many kits come in packs of 25 or more (or less). For a large guest list, these invites were a great price to buy multiple boxes.Negative: The kits (I bought 5) did NOT come with any instructions or tips on how to print them. The box does give a website that has a printing wizard as well as templates, but those are also very unhelpful. I went through almost all of the practice sheets that came with the 5 boxes before these managed to print right. I ended up having to create a Word doc. and customizing the dimensions on that as well as on my printer because the templates did not work at all. The printing wizard listed on the box was worse than the templates available online.I love Wilton for their baking products, and was excited to find my wedding invitation kits from them as well. After weeks of frustration and ruined invites, I regret to say that Wilton should stick to baking and leave stationary alone.

the invitations look very nice. Still obviously handmade
Once they are assembled, the invitations look very nice. Still obviously handmade, but tastefully so. Plenty of space and options to write the wording...just be careful when following the Wilton templates (their wording is awkward). Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this purchase!

DIY invitations.
These are really simple and cute. Perfect for the DIY bride such as myself. I plan on using a different ribbon with a slider buckle to go around the invitation. The envelopes are a little flimsy but I'll make them work.
