This is a great book for IT Professional with little knowlege on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager
Even though Microsoft Technet has tons of information on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, the information are scatter all over the place. This book consolidated most of the core information of System Center 2012 Configuration Manager that an IT Professional needed to know. In additional, Kent has included his real world System Center 2012 Configuration Manager experience, which is a great bonus and take away from the book.

This guide is the truth
This guide answered all the little questions that pop up during install and questions about features in menus. With the help of this guide I've been able to install/configure a SCCM 2012 R2 site with about 4000 devices and 6 distribution points.

It's all you need
Via Monstra books make all other look over complicated. Given that no book can teach everything you need to know, Kent's book gives you what the title says, fundamentals. From here, take yourself to the web.Great work Kent!

Great book
I currently doing a Windows 7 build and deployment using MDT 2013 and SCCM 2012 r2. Obviously the book is slightly behind (waiting for the R2 release which I believe is coming soon). It's not complete, in that it does gloss over a few things but on the whole gives a good grounding for those new to SCCM 2012. I also have SCCM 2012 unleashed but I tend just to use that for reference. This book is more like a training manual and takes you through the vast majority of things you'd want to do with SCCM.

very good reference document and training manual
very good reference document and training manual for both the novice and the seasoned tech.this book has to be rated bcos the content and the workflow scenarios described has to be given the extra mention.definitely a manual one would want to have along with the product documents to create a custom checklist in any scenario.

Not enough explanation
There's no doubting the author has knowledge on the subject but again I feel (just my opinion is all) there's too much of "do this and now do that" without enough explanation as to why you are doing this or that.
