little bugger requires an "app" , but sweet little , inexpensive , Generic J1939/J1708 reader . in some cases , wont grab OEM coses HOWEVER , in 2 uses the DATA list shows the problem and makes Diagnostics much easier . even works on JD tractors and some Ind. engines slightly . it IS made for TRUCKS , but can do more . what impresses customers ; Emailing from the "app" so they have the information . last use , CASE 580N backhoe . worked Great for what we were researching for a code and the DATA to confirm the malfunction . they were happy to pay me 1/4 dealer charge for a "read" . saved hundeds . imagine a FLEET tech. and saving there ???

The came fast and it works very well

Works great. Saved me thousands 2013 dd15.. well it did. Went to use it and doesn't work.

Software did not support my 350hp 8.3 but the scan did produce all engine data all the way down To hours and economy. The report function worked to generate code numbers by I had to decode them on my own. Unit has years of codes that need cleared and the report did not label which codes were causing the check engine.

This unit is a nice compact size. As far as I know, it only works with the "First-link" app. It will show you some of ecm settings(top speed, cruise, ect) and totals (fuel, def, hours, ect).I bought it to read fault codes and so far I've only had one engine code "pending" that it saw but I also had an abs code with the light on that it couldn't see. Its pretty disappointing that it can only read some of the codes.It needs improvement.
