Crab Flavored Soup Base 10oz Cot Bun Rieu Brand

Absolutely DELICIOUS! I’ve used the beef soup base, and loved it-so I tried the crab base. This was one of the most delicious soups I’ve made! Lots of crab, shrimp, and veggies. I sautéed shallot and garlic, then added the soup base, water, all the veggies, and finally added crab and shrimp. I also added some fish sauce. Absolute perfection. Thank you to the brand for answering my questions on TikTok regarding gluten and confirming it’s gluten free.

Love it just a teaspoon with do to a pot of cream of crab soup. I also added it to my Alfredo sauce delish!

Did not really like this one, was salty and bland. The wonton and pho flavored ones are much better. I used it combined with Knorrs chicken bullion to make hot pot broth and it was pretty good, but as a stand alone soup base it is not that great. Recommend the wonton flavored one as a stand alone. The pho one is also a bit salty and bland by itself, but has a great aroma and need to be mixed with the harvest 2000 one for optimal authentic pho flavor.

I liked this soup base so much, I bought mass quantities for stocking stuffers for friends and family at Christmas. I am a native born Vietnamese person, and I make bun rieu noodles all the time. I have tried all the store-bought canned shrimp/crab mixes, and making my own shrimp/crab base at home. The former is loaded with MSG and leaves a tin can taste, and the latter is time consuming. This was the perfect solution. It's easy to use, fast, and makes a great soup broth. Truly, it tastes like homemade - something my mom would have whipped up. As will any instant broth, you can use it as directed, or just to supplement or speed up your own recipes. I did both. I added more eggs than directed, as well as real crab and ground turkey to the egg mixture. I also added a bit of tamarind paste to give it a tangy-er taste to the broth. Both versions were really good - even better than many restaurant versions if you're lucky enough to find any. Overall, I highly recommend this broth mix.

Not recommend, using " Gia vi bun rieu" in can, made in Thailand instead. I'm so sad when using it. But It was passed 30 days to return . So I must thrown them in garbage. Since the delivery come. I keep them unopened in my kitchen shelf. One time using and I cant dare to use it again. Don't waste your money. Quoc Viet must think about their business, pls don't let your products going down like this.

I bought this for a Maryland Crab Soup recipe. It did the trick, but keep in mind it is very SALTY. Hard to find in the stores, even the International markets near me, so I was glad to have it delivered. The jar is large and a little goes a long way.
