I was actually just looking for only a Lens Hood. But, got far more than expected. FYI, white balance is so under rated. Thank God our eyes don't use what Camera's use to correct lighting and color conditions. I digress. I would always have to bring a grey or white card to ensure I had the correct setting for my Camera. Now, all I have do is let this innovative Lens Hood and Cover do the work for me. By leaving the Lens Cover on and then turn the camera on, I can shoot through the white cover to set the camera's "white balance' setting for each environment. Worth the price.

I have an older Cannon HG10 AVCHD camcorder that I use to make videos. With all the LED lights I just added in my garage its really bright and its honestly too bright for the camera lens. This 43mm lens hood is a perfect fit and reduces the amount of direct light hitting the lens with out getting in the way of the lens view. I don't need the cap but I'll use it as an additional dust protector.

Does an excellent job limiting lens flare in our shoots where we use many moving colored spot lights to back light the stage.

This product helps me to reduce unwanted light which faces the camera. I don't use it with additional lens because it will show on the video. I also like the design.
