Works on Zeikos ZE-UV58 Multi-Coated UV Filter
This lens cap covers a Zeikos ZE-UV58 58mm UV Filter I am using on a Canon HF S10 HD digital camcorder. Now I have several layers of protection on my camcorder to prevent bruising from accidental bumps. The lens cap stays on when the camera is in my bag, and stays on when I am handling the camera and carrying it around. So functionally it works well.My only minor quibble is that the "anti-missing" cord is a bit flimsy (yes, "anti-missing" is taken directly from the product description... i got a good chuckle about it). I would have liked a thicker/stronger cord, but for the price I suppose it is good enough. 4 stars.Recommended.

Cap works well, string could be longer
I bought this cap because I purchased a lense hood for my cannon 55-250 lense. The cap allows me to easily take the cap off/on with the hood installed. The string attaches to the camera body, & the only issue I have is that if the 55-250 is zoomed all the way out, the string is not long enough to reach. It's a simple solution, just zoom the lens back & then put cap on, but it wouldn't cost the manufacturer hardly anything to extend the length of the string a bit. I know its nit-picky, but other than that, this is a great cap, & you can't beat it for the price.

Glad I bought this!
I lost my lens cap for my Canon T3i lens. I was happy this lens cap fit on perfectly. The way it is designed makes it feel very secure and like it won't randomly fall off like my original one. The string is great too, just in case it happens to fall off, you won't loose it. I'm giving 4 stars only because I haven't had it a long time yet. I want to make sure over time and actually taking my camera places that it still lives up to my expectation.

Ahhhh finally!
I received a Canon T3i for Christmas last year and it struck as a bit odd that it didn't come with a lens cap. I haven't met anyone yet whose camera came with one, so I'm going to assume that it's normal. Anywho, It came with a clear filter that I'm not entirely sure of the purpose of and I shook my head. "No, no this won't do."I spent the next nine months wiping smudges and fingerprints off of the filter, which was in fact protecting my lens but was becoming more hassle than it was worth, and I finally cracked. I needed a lens cap. I browsed around a bit and found this, with its lovely reviews and extremely low price. I ordered it, received it very quickly with no problems, and was thrilled that it fit over the filter anyway! I'm very glad I bought it because now I can take my camera around without worrying about smudges or scratches because this lens cap stays where you put it. The cord it came with, however, has a bit of a time staying on the camera so I have to be careful taking the cap off but otherwise this product works beautifully. :)

just ok..
It fits well and stays on but you need to tie the string yourself and the knot i did, undid itself. Also the elastic ring that fits on the camera is very thin and slips out sometimes...Its the cheapest and you can tell it, but it still works well if you can live with some annoyances here and there.

Camera cover
Works great on both of my lens (the original 55 mm lens that came with the camera and my 55-250 mm lens). I bought this because I lent my camera to someone during my wedding and they lost the cover. I'm surprised Cannon doesn't include a small strap with the cameras for the lens covers. Some other reviews online recommended buying a UV filter as they will cover your lens at all times and do not need to be removed. However, I read some other reviews that said most modern SLR cameras don't need UV filters and the image quality suffers ever so slightly. The main benefit of a UV filter is you can drop your camera with no lens cover and it will still protect your lens (the UV filter stays on all the time). If you feel you are a klutz and don't care about a small difference in picture quality, a UV filter may be better for you.

Great Deal - Awesome Cap - VERY Secure!
I bought this as a replacement for my Canon T2i cap which had no tether and kept falling off on the trail. I was utterly surprised at how secure this cap fits on my camera. The springs are strong and the tabs for putting the cap off/on are larger than the OEM cap and therefore easier to use. I bought two of these and started using one without the tether and now almost don't see the need for the string.Should you wish to use the tether, it attaches to the cap via a small hole at the edge of the cap. The tether does not come pre-strung to the cap so you can use it with/without the string. I find it more convenient to use it without and have no worries about losing the cap since it fits so secure.I would highly recommend these caps as a replacement for OEM caps any day!

Not what I ordered
I ordered this replacement cap with the thought that it would have the pinch in the middle making it easier for me to put the cap on and and take it off the camera lens with ease, with the hood on; but the cap I received is just like the stock lens I received with my camera, minus the logo. The pinchers are on the outside rim, not the inside. In addition, it did not come with the string to tether the cap to the camera. It does have the loop for it on the cap however, which I found amusing - since there is no string to attach! It would be helpful if the picture and description matched the product that was actually being sent out; waste of my time and money.
