Sun Company Digital Zipogage - Compact Zipperpull Digital Thermometer | for Skiing, Snowboarding, Cold-Weather Camping, Snowshoeing, or Any Outdoor Activity

Purchased for wild camping, small, simple and lightweight. The button is big for gloves but looks too easy to accidentally press and run the battery down. Don’t know why it’s not a press to show as opposed to on / off.

We use this for checking real world temps, phone apps are often wrong...

Works fine but very flimsy for the price.

Been looking for a compact thermometer for a while for backpacking and camping and this is the smallest and most lightweight I could fined. Small and lightweight it is, don't know about battery life yet but it is still going after 4 weeks so far. I believe it is as it states with regards to it accuracy, with in 1-2 degrees.what I don't like is you have to push a button to turn it on and off and you can easily do this by accident in your pocket or hanging from your rucksack, also it could do with being back lit so you can see in the dark. All together it's prity good, if not a bit pricy for what it is, but I couldn't find anything else as small.

It's about 2 degrees off.

Did not read anything- returned

Spoke with the company rep who confirmed this item is splash resistant only and not suitable for water sports.

okay but seems very small and delicate.cant see this lasting a year

I have been searching for a few years for an accurate, reliable, and light-weight thermometer to take on backpacking trips. I like to know how my gear, especially my sleeping gear, is performing under various weather conditions. And as I age I've become more of a gram-counter with my gear. This is by far the best thermometer I've come across. I checked it against a known-accurate thermometer and it was rarely more than 0.2 degrees F off over a 20 to 65F range. It's quite light; with the split ring removed it's only 11.7 grams, or 0.41 ounces. And the off-on switch is great for extending battery life. Also, it has a rubber O-ring in the battery access cover to increase water-resistance. I haven't yet used it backpacking, so I can't comment on durability.

Confisble
