EZ Rekey CutAway Practice Lock 6-pinned KW

Don't write many reviews, but the delivery time was very fast, had it in 2 days. I find the quality of the material is the real thing and looks and feels like a KW lock. This will allow me to try all sorts of settings to beef up my Hobby Skill of picking. Who would think tinkering with picking could be such a fun hobby. ALL stars for the crew and their product. If you have been practicing on a clear lock because it came with your picks, stop and get this. I didn’t want to spend the money either, but it was worth it.I updated this to three stars after the retaining clip popped off and lost most of the springs and some of the pins.

I haven't been picking locks for very long at all, so I'm always on the look out for things to pick/practice with. I will probably look no further than this practice lock for a good while though. Practice is everything when it comes to lock picking, anyone who does it as a profession or hobby will tell you that and i will too. That is what makes this product so fantastic! This practice cutaway is definitely worth its weight in gold and then some. With the rekey function and bonus bottom pins and spool pins, you're literally investing 60 dollars for over a thousand locks. The cutaway feature is a huge help for newer people such as myself so we can get a strong under standing of proper tension, what it feel like to properly line pins up and develop a better understanding of how some tricky pins (like the spool) work. I can't stress enough how big of a difference associating what you see with your eyes assists/translates into what you feel with your hands.Pros-durable (sometimes i have butter fingers like its some chronic disease)-cutaway function-customization aka rekey-ease of use-spare top, bottom pins as well as spare springs (i'm going to dig for that one in my desk one of these days)Cons- i have butter fingers-some people may want to consider buying a mount so they dont have to juggle a tension wrench, the lock itself and pick with just two hands (your feet might do the trick but that's gross)- the amount of time you'll spend playing with this excellent learning tool-it doesn't come with tools to start with (for those of you who might make the assumption you'll get some freebies out of it. I personally knew as much and had already picked up two Southord sets prior to buying this cutaway.All in all a product that deserves more stars than amazon allows me to give. Buy and enjoy!

Great training lock. Tight tolerances make it a reasonably difficult pick right out of the box. The ability to easily repin it with the included security pins is awesome. Worth the cost in my opinion.

I'm fairly new to lockpicking and wanted to be able to practice with different sets of pins which is exactly what I got. Overall it's great quality and came with everything it said it would.

Love it, but the springs are light and makes picking much easier than with a "real" lock
