101 Great Science Experiments: A Step-by-Step Guide

I purchased this book for a secret santa give away at school. It is a good quality book with lots of fun experiments to do. Lots of common items you already have in your home to make it easy for students to do experiments without having to wait to get items they don't already have access to. I would buy again.

Every single time I visit my sister my 8 year old nephew tells me about science experiments he was participating in and did at school with such excitement and joy that I decided to buy this book for him. My nephew was thrilled when he received it and that makes me happy. This is an excellent book with lots of good ideas, clearly illustrated experiments, instructions are easy to follow and what's importantly cheap to do. Some of them a bit hard for his age but the ones he had done by himself or with the help of an adult were fun. My nephew told about this book to his classmates and some of the kids parents were asking my sister where she bought it lol Buy with confidence. You will not be disappointed.

We gave copies of these away at our Home School Science Fair. They were a big hit.

I bought for friends and family members kids to have something to do when they are stuck inside in the winter. They had fun with it.

We loved doing these science experiments. Kids had so much fun.

You should have looked at their faces when we opened the book and started on some science projects. Both my grandchildren Jaden 6 and Lavinder 8 displayed a face of amazement. You could see the opening of their hearts and minds as they said "wow" in an amazing voice. Now, after two weeks of science projects, they are showing more willingness and drive to develop their reading, spelling and math skills too. I attribute all this to the science book we purchased from Amazon.

The photos are very good, the instructions are clear and simple, and the appeal is great for kids! I bought this for my granddaughter for her 8th birthday. Her mom is planning to do science experiments with her this summer. This will help my daughter to do fun experiments with both of her daughters.

This book should be re-titled "100 Great Science Experiments" because the project we were most interested in was not included. The missing project, "Build a Haunted House" appears in the table of contents, directing the reader to Project 36 on page 44. It was not there. We consulted every page in the book to no avail. The rest of the experiments appear interesting enough, so we will keep it and try some of them. However, we were pretty disappointed that the project which caused us to purchase the book was mysteriously missing.

Had many great showable experiments for the kids as well as many experiments perfectly doable on their own with minor guidance. However, many experiments are either more of the same, or not practical. So 4 out of 5 for me.

This book is awesome! I have a 5 year old that is really into being a scientist. So this book was an amazing gift for her. We have had lots of fun with the experiments and a fair number of the experiments take every day items so they are easy to do on the fly. Each section of the book is broken down into things like sound, light, gases ect. And each experiment comes with pictures and good instructions as well as an explanation as to why that particular reaction is happening. Can't recommend enough honestly. Great book and would buy again.

Bought it for my 4 year old, some good experiments in there for her and many more too advanced so should get decent usage for a few years
