BEWARE-UK-METRIC
Beware...I ordered used from vendor in UK and didn't really thing about it until it arrived and all recipes were in METRIC system. Conversion charts can be found on internet but it's a pain. I should have realized that it makes sense that UK cookbook versions would be metric but I only looked at the price.

She always makes everything seem so delicious. I’ve tabbed a ton of pages and have cooked a bunch of the recipes. The girl knows how to eat!

Odd but..
The book came with negative articles written about GP that were newspaper clippings stick in the pages. Cookbook itself was in good condition and what I was looking for

Notes from my kitchen table.
Another great cookbook filled with healthy recipes for good living. Relatively easy ones as well. I like this book at return to it often.

Another great book by Gwyneth.
Love the book outline and presentation. Only disappointment was that it was in metric measurements & live in the USA. Needed conversion chart in the front of the book.

If you like Gwyneth Paltrow, get the book. If you don't, you can find something better.
I got the book without looking at the recipes as I like Gwyneth Paltrow and would like to have her book in my house. If you too like her, the little stories she shares about her personal life and childhood make the book fun. If you have no interest in her however, I think you could definitely find a better cookbook. This is what I look for in a cookbook:1. Good recipes: While the recipes I've tried were all nice, so far nothing great enough to make me say "Oh I have to eat it again." There were though some easy recipes that will come handy when you're in a hurry.2. Photos: The pictures in a cookbook are as important to me as the recipes' themselves. It's technology age and there are more than enough recipes available online from all around the world. I love food photography, If I'm buying a cookbook (and have no interest in the author), it means I'm buying it to display in my kitchen, to sometimes look at the pictures, like a coffee-table book. The quality of the photos in Notes from my Kitchen Table was not too great. There are quite a few food blogs out there that have better photos of food.So I would say if you like Paltrow, go for it. If you don't, I think you can find a better book.

Some really nice little recipes and some easy useful sauces
Some really nice little recipes and some easy useful sauces. She understands cooking with and for children and families which is very useful. However some of it is much too basic - she actually gives a recipe for an omelette! ... and porridge! But overall - its fair addition to my cooking library.

Great
I know that a lot of people hate Gwynneth, however, I love this book, and if you look beyond who wrote it, there is some great information, and super recipes in there. They appeal to me as it is my taste, and I am a vegetarian, so there is plenty in there that I can use directly, or doctor to suit me with ease.

Surprisingly good read
Very easy reading inbetween recipes, some interesting anecdotes. Recipes are quiet simple but effective. A good way of introducing children to 'real' food.
