Is the half in the width hight ?

The half inch is the width of the brush. 6 inches is the length.

Come on ! Some of these items in title says boar hair bristles and in the description says horsehair. I need stiff bristles. What are they ????

The ones I got are boar hair. More stiff than Horse hair.

Do these brushes shed?

All brushes shed....I use these for glue, flux and nasty liquids or pastes that would destroy good brushes. The idea is to use them once or twice and then throw them away. They certainly have not been designed to paint with!!!
