This maca powder has a rich, earthy flavor that’s definitely noticeable, but it blends smoothly into my morning coffee without overpowering the taste. Given the lack of response to some key criticisms, though relatively few, of this food, I'll focus my review on why this nutritional powerhouse is classified as a SUPERfood and why, for what are obvious reasons, some folks do not like this awesome Organic Raw Maca. Maca is surely classified as a superfood, and why that is the case pertains to its exceptional potency. General speaking, the "better" a superfood tastes, the lower (that's right, the lower) the nutritional density. And why would this be the case? Well, simply because the most nutritionally dense superfoods -- such as Maca, chlorella, spirulina, broccoli sprouts, etc. -- often have very strong tastes that seem unusual to people used to drinking sugary beverages like sodas, processed fruit juices, etc. Fortunately, since it's abundantly obvious to me that not everything that's good for me is going to taste like a Ritter Sport chocolate bar, I've been able to get past the subjective definitions or pronouncements on Maca's taste or flavor -- and most reviews by far out there, by the way, indicate a much more neutral, even positive assessment of Maca's taste. I for one, like so many Americans, want really good and sustainable energy, not the kind that comes at any kind of unnatural price, e.g., sudden crashes, nervousness, the jitters, stomach aches, headaches, cramps, etc. Fortunately through Maca, I've found significantly increased energy, overall alertness, focus, and enhanced powers of concentration....not to mention the physical energy for my lengthy & strenuous workouts. Though I jus' luvs me my coffee, there are numerous ways of getting that energy without the price of the smaller dives, total crashes and inevitable burn-outs. If this entirely natural, special Maca-kind-of-boost is not important to you, then you don't need to try it. Having communicated all this, careful readers of all of the reviews here will probably be able to see why some do not like Organic Raw Maca Powder, often linked to questions about taste, culinary expectations, etc. To note, it's difficult for me to place much weight on reviews by those who have tried out a food (and I view Navitas Naturals Organic Raw Maca Powder, not as a product, but as an exceptional nutritional food) for only a few days (only 3!, in some instances) or a few weeks. this has an earthy/mushroom flavor it it. not bad if you like that kind of taste. which i kind of do, so it wasn’t hard to drink down when i added it to some chocolate protein powder i wouldn’t be able to stomach the taste if i had just put it in my milk or water. i did use an electric milk frother, and there was still chunks of powder that didn’t dissolve completely. but i’m about to start zepbound, and so i need protein and fiber to help my weigh loss journey, so i will still be drinking though. i have only used it once, and i didn’t notice any changes in my mood, or skin. but i will come back weeks later if anything changes and update my review

Quick intro about me: ~I am 29 ~I have a hormonal imbalance. I was on Progesterone pills (taking 1 a day for 5 days) to aid me in having a menstrual, not anymore though ~I have always had irregular periods meaning I can go 4-6 months with out one ~ Preparing my body for a baby. My husband and I are trying to conceive Purpose for taking this: ~To regulate my hormones ~increase energy Pros: ~Package arrived very QUICK and was sealed properly ~The color is CONSISTENT with no strange variations. It's a creamy off white color ~ The smell is FRESH with no foul smell. It aroma is like nutty in nature ~ Maca has meshed well with my system. I have not felt any discomfort ~ The powder is fine like flour Cons: ~ It's just my preference by I don't like the fact that it comes in a plastic bag. I personally would have prefer a glass jar Expectations: ~ this batch is meeting my expectations so far *I will give an update once I am finish with the bag to note whether or not it has regulated my hormones, however I can say that I do feel more energy ** Just in case if you are wondering how I consume it. I use 1 tsp a day. I use a real measuring spoon and mix it with either oatmeal (I make plain oatmeal and add fruits and honey and a dash of milk) a homemade green smoothie ( natural smoothie with veggies and berries and purified water) or a homemade fruit smoothie ( ex. 1 cup if milk and 2 cups of mangoes) The first time i took it I mix 1 tsp with bout a cup of milk. *** Just to note about the warning label, go to their site and they will further explain it to you. Also read the prop if you are really nervous. But please understand that they are required to and i am sure a host of other food companies are required to as well to put this label on their products, but they don't. Just to further put this warning label in perspective (because I have always and only lived in California) even Disney Land has a warning sign up on their property as well as apartments/ condos, dishes and other items. You will even see this label in certain stores... I know I have seen this warning quite a bit. I am not dumbing down this important prop just want you to be aware of it in its totality. I’m not one to normally write reviews but since I’ve experienced such positive physical and mental changes with this product I felt compelled to throw my 2 cents in. I work in a jail in a high stress environment. Although I work well under pressure you can imagine the intensity I experience from time to time. Mental Clarity - I started noticing after taking this brand of MACA Root I had more clarity and understanding. I was able to articulate and relax through situations that were potentially dangerous rather than getting that burst of adrenaline that I didn’t need unless it was a physical altercation. Huge plus in my book. Physical Change - Without getting too into details I’ve noticed a teenage like sex drive at times with the “ending” of those moments being much like my younger days. I’ve never had any shortage of a sex drive but the intensity definitely feels like when I was 18 and I’m 34 now. If you get my drift things lasted longer and ended with a bang. Sorry I tried to keep it at PG13 as possible. Taste - I’ve taken MACA off and on over the years. I usually stopped because the taste was so bad. I can tell you as far as taste goes this is the best I’ve had. But the bottom line good taste and MACA don’t really go together. This has been the easiest to stomach. I just mix it with about 14oz of water chug it and refill about half way to get the rest out of my shaker bottle I’m drinking out of. I’m a 34 Year old male who works out regularly. I recently stopped taking of the unregulated workout supplements that are on the market. I hope I didn’t bore you with the length of this review and that you found some part of it helpful👍

Excellent quality and very easy to use. The flavor is mild and pairs perfectly with shakes, coffee, or smoothies. I like that it is organic and natural. It has helped me feel more energetic throughout the day. Highly recommended!
