For the fans, from the Filth.
Dani writes a lovely little letter in the opening pages of this CD booklet, explaining that this was made not only as a companion piece to Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa, but as a thank you to the fans. The contents are songs recorded around the time of Darkly's release along with a DVD with some very entertaining material. Dani said to ensure that it reaches all of the fans, the CD will be low priced, but it was only produced in limited quantities. That means you should probably hit that order button.

Nothing less than expected!!!
Cradle of filth has done it again!!! I've been a fan for quite some time, and this is absolutely one of the best themes they've chosen since Cruelty and the Beast. also on track 6, there's something which is rather new to me. The addition of a electro track was a very nice touch, and the female vocals make are done with a slightly different approach from when Jezzebel was with the band. This is by far the best Cradle cd i've hear in a long time.

People can say what they want about Cradle of Filth being the commercial side of "Black Metal" but the fact of the matter is that they have achieved commercial success the same way any great band do - by continually bringing excellent music out. Whether it's one of their concept albums, or just another release, Cradle excel time and time again. Evermore Darkly is an excellent example of aggressive, heavy material coupled with melody and thought. Excellent album.

missing the old
while lisening the new albums of cradle of filth, i usually miss the old days. but, thank god he exists still. Evermore darkly is for the fans. So if you are one of them (like me) you'll enjoy it much. Otherwise, you can't find any important difference with darkly darkly...

Just what I was looking for
This cd/dvd set is a perfect segue to keep you satiated between albums. A few new tracks, remixes and the DVD performance, documentary and music video give you fix of Filth that gives you a taste of things to come as well as a snapshot of the past via the live performance. All-in-all a reasonably priced EP worth the content.

聴き応え、見応えたっぷりの2枚組
英国出身シンフォニック・ブラックメタル・バンド、Cradle of Filthが2011年に出したEPで、CDとDVDの2枚組です。CDには新曲に、過去曲のデモヴァージョンや別ヴァージョン。トランス風のリミックスやオーケストラヴァージョンを収録。DVDの方はドキュメンタリーにPV。そしてベルギーのメタルフェス「Graspop Metal Meeting」のライヴの模様が収められています。#1 "Transmission from Hell" は新曲で、サイバーちっくなノイズ音にナレーションというイントロ。#2 "Thank Your Lucky Scars" も新曲で、いきなりブラスト全開で疾走する高い攻撃密度の曲です。緩急織り交ぜた展開で、メロディアスなトレモロからヘヴィで邪悪なリフまで、持てる全てを注ぎ込んだかのような気合の入った曲です。#4 "Lilith Immaculate" はアルバムヴァージョンより2分尺が伸びて8分ほどの曲になってます。中間部に妖しげなムードの静寂パートが追加され、情景描写力が向上。#6 "Forgive Me Father (I'm in a Trance)" はその名の通りトランスっぽいリミックス。ヴォーカルテイクや曲の展開はほぼ原曲のままで、バッキングがトランス化してる感じです。#8 "Summer Dying Fast" はヴォーカルなしのフルオーケストラ。この翌年の2012年にリリースされた、初期曲を中心としたフル・オーケストラアルバム「Midnight in the Labyrinth」からの先行収録曲です。原曲は「The Principle of Evil Made Flesh」(1994年 1st) 収録。わたくしこの1stアルバムだけはまだ聞いたことないんですよね。ホラー映画のサントラみたいな荘厳かつ禍々しい雰囲気が出ています。基本的には前作「Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa」のオマケ集みたいなコンセプトです。しかしこれはこれで流れは良いし、フルセットのライヴDVDが付いて1000円ちょっとというのはかなりお得なのでは。ファンならお値段以上の満足感を得られることは確実です。

CDで新曲は、1.2 elder verというのはデモVer6はForgive〜のトランスVer最後は現在作成中の初期曲のオーケストラアレンジから先行。ドラムもギターも歌もないためもろにホラー映画のサントラのようDVDは普通に再生可Lilith ImaculateのPV（久々にエロい）東欧ツアーのドキュメント夏に行われたベルギーでのライブGodspeed〜、Darkly〜からの曲が聴けるのがうれしい（Midian以来、来日がないので）この値段なら単純にDVD目当てで買ってもいいのでは
