The Pattern Cutting Primer

Having purchased other books on pattern making and how to adapt them for particular bodies , I cannot extol this book sufficiently.If you love sewing then this is the one book that will open up amazing opportunities and inspiration , not only for getting the perfect fit , but also for designing garments .

I was recommended this book from a sewing tutor of mine and I have to say she recommended me an excellent book. It has a well defined instructions and illustrations on how to create your own patterns which guides you through from measurements to consider, positioning of darts, shoulder, back adjustments etc. Although, I haven't made my own patterns as yet, I do feel that the instructions are very simple and easy to follow.

I had borrowed a copy of this book from a friend and liked it so much I bought a copy for myself. It has clear pictures and good descriptions. I particularly like the section on how to adjust a pattern and how to solve issues with a badly fitting toile. Would definitely recommend.
