So much more than I expected
This set was so much more than I expected. It is actually three books in one. The first book is called "Brain and Memory Games". It goes into detail about the many fun puzzles and games available to help you boost your memory and brain power. It was interesting and informative to read the science behind these puzzles. The second book is called "Mindfulness for Beginners". This book was intriguing to me. It explains ways to take control of your own mind. The third book is called "Increase Brain Power". This book goes into nutrition and behavior changes that could improve your brain power. I feel the the full set covers so many angles of improving your brain functions that anyone could find helpful information in it. I would recommend this read to anyone wishing to boost their brain power. I received this set in exchange for an honest review.

An interesting and thorough approach to increasing brain health
I'm not really sure what I expected when I purchased this book, but there was definitely more to it than I expected. It gave information on shy it is important to focus on a healthy brain, suggestions for types of games, puzzles, and activities that can help to strengthen your brain and help keep your cognition young. It explains why speed reading is good for your brain and how to learn to speed read. It covers the importance of diet and exercise for your brain health, and suggestions to get started. The book talked about technology and how our brains both benefit from technology and how technology can hurt our brains. There was a lot of information on mindfulness and meditation, as well as how to get started and what to do. The book suggests many good mind- building and mind strengthening games and activities to seek out. This was an interesting book and it did not take me long to read at all. The only thing missing were more hands- on activities, games, and puzzles that you could do immediately. i really had hoped that there would be activities to pull out and use and get started. But otherwise, I felt that this book was interesting and thorough.I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Super Interesting and Engaging!
I am loving this book! Besides being incredibly interesting and engaging, there are actually thought provoking ideas in the book that make you stop and think. I really recommend this book to everyone to read to learn more about how their brain functions and how their memory can be improved. I'm still reading the book and just about finished but I'm having trouble putting it down. I'm going to have my dad who recently retired give the book a go to see if he finds it as interesting as I do. Super cool to know different techniques that could help your memory. Maybe I can start remembering to grab milk on my way home!I received this product in exchange or at a discount for my honest review. All reviews are completed with 100% honesty and reflect my negative and or positive experiences I had while reviewing the product regardless of the discount or free product. I only review products I have an interest in. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

Some useful, intro level information...not all of it has to do with memory.
Another boxed set with 2 good books and one book that, while decent in its own right, just shoehorns additional material that may or may not be loosely related to the material primarily questioned. In this case, You have book one, that gives you some generally good information and pointers, games, etc. but the information feels like too much an overview. Like going to a restaurant that smells of fabulous BBQ steak only to get a McD's burger. Is it meat? Sure. Is it what it promised it would be? Not so much. The second book is a book of mindfulness, but is really a layman's version of mindfulness. I suppose if you have no other experience with the concept of mindfulness in the clinical sense, this may be okay. And while I'm griping about something so simple, I would like to add that this is for memory improvement. So, I'm not certain I understand why this book was put in here. The third book is primarily tossed together as at first, a nutritional recommendation for brain health. Not a bad thing to have, but then it just sort of throws information that is also good for you at you. Like going to the doctor for a cough and having the doctor tell you to lose weight. Yes, losing weight is good for you...but what does it have to do with the cough? Take if for what it is. None of the information in this seems to be damaging, but it isn't really cohesive in it's presentation of the topic.Disclaimer: I was given a digital copy of this boxed set in exchange for a fair review. The opinions expressed here are mine alone and I have not been further compensated for my time.

No Memory for Me
Let me start with 'I LOVE to READ', but I just couldn't get into this book. I wanted to train my brain to retain and improve my memory, but it wasn't happening with this book. I don't think of myself as brilliant by any means, but I really couldn't grasp some of these concepts. Maybe I waited too late at night to engage in this reading, but my brain said 'no can do' to a lot of it.I received this product for free or at a discount in exchange for giving my honest opinion. Just like yourself, I rely on reviews when I purchase items and only offer my genuine interpretation. If my opinion assisted you with your decision to purchase this item please feel free to click "yes" that you find it helpful.

not that impressed, there are better books out there, it did have some good points
Not that impressed there were some good points to take away like eating wild salmon will give you enough omega 3 for the day but farmed ones do not reach the growth needed to produce any. I need to move to Scotland.

It's OK but there are better memory books about.
This is purely a personal opinion. I didn't like this book. If you want to read about memory training, Tony Buzzan is much better.
