Fascinating Information Whether You're a Trader or Not
The information presented in this book is very intriguing and thought provoking. I would very much like to implement the techniques into my own trading, but there are key explanations left out of the discussion. For example, in calculating the QPLs, what planetary geos and helios should be used for any given security? There was supposed to be a CD included with the book to assist with the calculations of the QPLs, but I found no CD. Is this an Amazon error or a publisher (Wiley) error? Also, I'd very much like to contact the author, but there doesn't seem to be any contact information for him. If anyone knows how to contact him, please let me know.I have given the book only four stars because of the needed explanations and the missing CD; although, I'll bet the CD would go a long way in assisting with my understanding of the calculations and how to use them properly. Overall, the concepts and techniques presented by Mr. Oreste are complex; but, with some key information and a bit of practice, this could easily lead to some very profitable trading.

Successful trading. Any market. Any instrument. Any "time" and at any price. Stand on the shoulders of great minds.
Infinite information. Macro, micro news, developments all reduced to a finite concept; mathematics. All can be explained or interpreted when predicting price. Regardless of the market, market conditions and instrument traded, Quantum trading, in conjunction with Gann angles are able to capture the mechanics of the world in a clean manner suitable for human comprehension. If you have ever thought that market dynamics and movement is not just random but a higher law of order in place appears to be in control you are on to something. For those that would like to filter all the noise step back and look at the markets from a macro perspective using a microscope this book and system is for you to explore. Price and time do not live in a vacuum in Quantum trading but isolated rather and their elusiveness brought to a halt. Whether you are a successful trader or novice, this book and system if followed and understood correctly can greatly guide and make you consistently profit in any market traded. Do not wait beat movement to the punch and allow yourself to open your mind and learn from the giants of humanity. Beyond being a great book it is a book of hope if you seek answers and have faith in a universe which while mildly understood appears to be governed by math. Enjoy a great readas well as success trading!!!

Wow... Don't buy this book.
A little background: I'm a physicist and an independent investor. I've read many great books from Wiley on trading - how they published this one, I have no clue. The author throws around terms like Einstein's relativity and Quantum Mechanics generously throughout the book. In the first couple chapters he actually makes it sound like he's onto something. I was very interested right up until I got to chapter five and saw the math. I re-read those pages over and over again in disbelief. Want a trading system that bases its entire strategy on the positions of the planets and nothing more? Then this book is for you. I however would have preferred something that actually took information about the stocks/companies into account. I love physics but I'll get my stock advice from a more objective system, not gamble away my hard-earned money on buying/shorting because Saturn is located at 349 deg.Not to mention his mathematics are completely arbitrary. He calculates the "Curvature of P-Space", what he believes coincides with a point of maximum curvature and hence a reversal indicator using the POSITION of a planet. How does this relate to Relativity in any way? The position of a planet is NOT a parameter for calculating the degree of curvature of space, it's mass is. It's position is completely irrelevant. Then there's the "Conversion Factor" a quantized parameter that you apply to the planet's position to get, what he calls, the PSO, used to calculate QPLs and then QPLSHs. It's completely arbitrary. A few words of advice: just because you give ridiculous ideas their own acronyms doesn't make them any less ridiculous. Even Einstein, who had very little interest in finance, would be ashamed of how is ideas were butchered in this work. Not to mention the founding fathers of QM.Basically you should buy this book if you believe that the planets determine the financial markets. The author claims this strategy has been very profitable, if it has he's merely gotten very lucky. His argument for non-locality and entanglement supporting why this strategy (allegedly) works is a load of bull. This is another clear example of someone who has no clue about physics using it to try and justify something completely ridiculous. The system he presents is also completely arbitrary. Which planets should we use? Which conversion factor? Why the 360 deg line spacings? What does any of that have to do with the financial markets?I've never in my life come across a book that I felt was a complete waste of paper and my time. This one is, I can't believe I paid so much for it. To the author: if this strategy works you're lucky, nothing more, and you have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to physics or mathematics. To Wiley: shame on you for publishing this trash and putting such a high price tag on it.

This book is WEIRD and grossly inaccurate.. do not be misled.
I wish I would have read the reviews prior. This book however was mentioned in another book and I quickly rushed to buy it. I am a mathematician and astrologer and I have to say that the first 4 chapters are so boring.. but when you finally get to math and planetary positions... this book utterly FAILS. Perhaps these are mere oversights- but with a topic so scientifically labeled- the numbers should be right. Chapter 5 illustrates a total manipulation of numbers- lack of using a quality heliocentric ephemeris- or both. The system within the book attempts to discredit astrology (while also using Gann lol) , but uses astrological aspects and ephemeris as a supporting basis. Its a very confusing read, because he fails to also layout the equations in clear format. I can see what he is doing, but it doesn't add up (as he has written). His Oct 11 2007 top on the DJI and using the planetary position of Uranus is a WHOLE 5 degrees off from his own math and numbers he supplied. That's totally unacceptable for astrological use or even scientific use. I set up my own mathematical tables to correlate to what he is describing and WOW. You can derive so many different possibilities that this becomes pointless. He fails to explain when and how to use certain planets and CS values. No BUENO. There are also typo's throughout the book. I am in Chapter 7 and had to come here before I read further.. and I am glad I did. Waste of time. If I feel I need to re-edit review - I will...but I am confident the errors have discredit the author on his own lack of merits.

A must read for serious traders
This book will not be for everyone as some of the reviews indicate, because it will mainly appeal to serious traders with an open mind who have grappled with discovering the true nature of financial markets to develop an approach for consistent winning success and this will be missed by the many still searching for the Holy Grail of trading which does not exist beyond sound money management principles. It is a profound work, well written and entertaining in many places - rarely seen in financial works - that will appeal to real traders who have an inkling or already understand what it takes to be consistently successful in financial markets. With no offence intended, the negative reviewers here probably do not occupy this space because to discount the techniques shown in this book indicates that they have yet to grasp the true nature of what a financial market is and why they function as they do. My advice to them is to come back to this book at another time and let it's messages percolate for a while. It is a challenging approach because for those who think that economics and politics and notions of "fundamental value" govern price activity in markets - the conventional approach of finance theory - this will be either a complete revelation or hard to absorb, and yet this book is as close to the real deal as one can come or that I have seen written in such a coherent style. The author does an excellent job of setting the scene in order to reveal the meat of the approach as the book unfolds and without that it will be hard for many to make the mental leap required to grasp its profound relevance. Conventional finance theory is flawed, but the commissions driven by it across the finance community means that it will remain conventional wisdom for as long as the pundits can continue to spin it out! What this book describes is a profound approach to markets which properly integrates a non-linear approach to assessing price activity - and markets are non-linear in nature. We live our reality in a three dimensional world and yet we reduce price activity in financial markets to a two-dimensional price chart that cannot by construct explain what is really going on. Properly understood, this book will bridge the gap. For those people who have ever wondered what it is that determines why prices of financial instruments rise to a certain point and then reverse, or that continue to rise despite negative news (climbing a wall of worry) or continue to fall despite good news, or indeed why geometric approaches such as using Fibonacci ratios work beautifully at some times but at other times does not work at all ... if these questions occupy your mind then this book will provide a fascinating approach to develop genuine answers, and exact answers for those who are already a long way down this road. It may not appeal to everyone, but the subject matter of this book is really for the 10% of those who eventually make it and attain consistent winning success and not the 90% who struggle to make it as independent traders. Lateral thinking is needed to make this happen and this book will show you how to develop that approach with techniques that work. This is by no means a get rich quick approach because that does not exist; but it is a paradigm of thinking that is both powerful and immense. In time, all thinking on financial markets will probably lean in this direction and for that reason this book should be read by all who are serious about profiting from financial markets.

That is the trading book masterpiece, at so littile price
the book is beautiful and with a fine and elegant layout; when you get it you understand immediately that it is a value book.It does not matter if you are beginners or very experienced traders: you cannot afford losing this masterpiece. As student in trading topics, I never found such deep and powerful knowledge of what rule the markets at so little price.I mean, usually you don't expect so much from a book on trading: true for all I read in the pas. Not for this book.If you do some research on the author you'll understand what I mean: Fabio Oreste is theone that knows and goes beyond Gann's techniques; he's the founder of Quantum Trading School, the only trading school I know that unveils the wonders of trading. This is a stunning book, I bought and read in 3 days; the book itself gives you rules you can follow to get results in financial markets, o the book alone is worth hundreds of times its price.

Are you kidding? Who reviewed this for the publisher?
This book is a total waste of time. The author goes on about quantum mechanics and relativity, and clearly understands nothing about them. He is trying to use astrology to trade markets and he makes it sound scientific. Clearly the author has no idea about physics and why would you expect anything out of quantum mechanics or relativity have anything to say about trading/ Give this book a miss, and I agree with one of the other reviewers, shame on you Wiley for publishing it. I would like to know who reviews what is to be published for Wiley. You people have got me to waste my money.
