I bought these instead of a the Shoes18 brand because the uppers were shown to come straight across above the toes rather than round down over the toes. The pair I received was NOT AS PICTURED. In fact, the soles are labeled with the Shoes18 brand. This re-seller tricked me into paying more for a shoe with the exact design I was trying to avoid.

I am usually a 9 - 9.5 and got a 10 and they fit perfectly. I love these shoes, they are super comfortable, like slippers, and super cheap. They look great with anything and are a great alternative to flip flops, and look a little bit more dressy!If the chemical/plastic smell from the soles bothers you just leave the shoes outside for a few hours and then wear them for a day - it will be gone after that!My pair arrived in good shape with no issues. I wore them for 8 hours around the state fair, in the stables, through the dust and the petting zoo and they kept up well. Super comfy and no problems with the buckles. I'm going to order a few more pairs for back up in a few different colours.You can't beat the price on this! The shoes are comfy and cute. They won't last forever, but for $10 what do you expect?! I recommend buying half a size or a size bigger and getting a couple of pairs together.*update 09/16/2016: I purchased another pair in dark red velvet and they are just gorgeous! I get so many compliments and they are so comfortable, I literally feel like I am walking around in slippers!

I ordered a size 11 in both the black velvet and the white canvas. I found that the 2 were totally different products. I was familiar with this type of shoe -- I used to buy them in black canvas from my local Oriental food store -- so I had certain expectations, such as the lack of insole padding, the roomy inside, and the somewhat flimsy nature in general. I was surprised, however, that the "velvet" was actually plastic with some slight fuzzy feeling to the outside, had more of a pointed toe, while the inside of the shoe was actually well-padded but also plastic. Since part of the reason I like this type of shoe is the breathable canvas, I was a bit disappointed. But the shoes fit, are very cute, and I decided to keep them anyway. The white canvas shoes were shipped separately, and were everything I was expecting to find, plus they had more padding in the footbed than the ones I got from the food store. However, these in size 11 were far too large in length. I believed, despite the feminine Mary Jane style, the size 11 actually was a men's size 11, not a women's. Trying this theory, I returned the size 11 and ordered a size 9 (approximately 2 numbers difference between genders in US sizing), and indeed the size 9 fits fine.

The media could not be loaded.  I was not expecting the best of quality, but these will work for errands around town.The insoles are thin, if you add an insert or anything they might not be able to handle it where the fabric is attached to the bottom of the shoe.The color red is as advertised.The red fabric is thin. They are advertised as cotton.The latch: ok, it works like those belts where you just put the material through one way and pull through the other end. See video for better explanation. I may just use fabric glue and replace the silver buckle with Velcro. I gave 4 stars because the material was kind of hard to put through the other end when I had them on, and after a few steps it did loosen up a bit, but they stayed on while going to the grocery store.In general I do like these. With a few modifications they will be perfect.

These are just fantastic! I got these for a Mulan cosplay, but I could wear these regularly! So comfy! I can't wear ballet flats because my ankles are so skinny that they slip right out, but the strap on these keep the shoe from slipping off! They look superb with my fall/spring wardrobe for college (AKA leggings, a miniskirt, an old tee, and my leather jacket) and they just complete my wardrobe in a way I never would have thought!

Love these shoes. Wore these in the 80s. Just keep in mind no arch support and very thin cushioning. I add an insert cushioning. You can get a pair from Dollar Tree.

I’ve been wearing these since I was a teenager. They are my favorite summer shoe. They usually run slightly bigger so I always go down a size.
