Everything you need to prep it is included, including tools and oil. You just need gasoline or a propane tank. It took me about 20 minutes to unbox and assemble the unit. Adding oil is fairly straightforward - it just takes slow and careful repeated filling using the little \"bent-elbow\" funnel and checking levels to get enough oil in (but not too much). Once everything was done I added about a half tank of fresh gasoline, turned the little gasoline delivery switch to flow (on the side of the unit), checked that everything was ready, turned on the power and hit the Start button. However while it would crank it simply would not turn over and run. I checked, double-checked, and triple-checked everything (even checked spark plug gap)... but I just couldn't get the unit to run. I finally gave up for the weekend and moved on to other chores. A couple of weekends later I called up the Westinghouse help line number in the manual -- while waiting on a call back I set the generator back up, went thru everything and hit the start button. This time the generator fired up instantly. When I eventually spoke with the technician (very friendly and knowledgeable, btw) he said that a very very small number of units get something in the carburetor stuck as a result of sitting for a long period of time after shipping out of the factory -- I guess they drain the gasoline but somewhere in the carb residual gasoline seizes something in the carb that prevents any gasoline from getting thru. But when a customer gets the unit and adds gasoline in the tank that gasoline slowly \"eats away\" at whatever that residue had seized up and eventually frees it. So, if this happens to you (everything is done correctly but the unit won't start) just let the generator sit for a few days and that may solve the problem. And their help line techs seem fantastic and I only waited about 10 minutes to get a hold of one. So I haven't actually needed the generator in a real storm or power outage situation yet, but running the unit for a bit and testing a few things has me feeling comfortable that I'm ready should we get a power outage. I haven't played with the remote start button but I don't see me needing to use that (you have to keep the generator turned on which will drain the battery). I can see running this in the dark that it might be nice to have some sort of light on the panel -- I'm thinking of using one of those goose-neck LED lights (or a pair) that are usually used on grills. I'm also looking at something like GenTent to cover the generator in the event that I'm running it while it's raining or snowing. All in all, a very nice generator with plenty of power, easy start (minus the gasoline seizing issue) and operation, nice built-in handle to maneuver it, and I like the duel fuel option if/when it's needed.\nReview: Excellent dual-fuel generator - Bought the wgen7500dfc as a propane 6750/8550 watt replacement and upgrade for my 6000/8250 watt gasoline generator. The dual fuel option would allow running on gasoline if for some reason propane is not available. The generator would be used outside so the CO monitor was unnecessary; I would have preferred a generator without one but at the time this was the only model available. After setup, tried the following features: battery start, remote start, recoil start, propane fuel, gasoline fuel, 120V and 240V outlets. Everything worked. I was impressed that the owner's manual contained not only intelligible detailed instructions, but also exploded parts diagrams for every part of the generator, and a wiring diagram. According to my experience, finding such documentation means finding a high quality product. I unbonded the neutral from the frame. This was made difficult by a short jumper cable but still doable. The manual called for an initial 5 hour runtime during which load should not exceed 50% of capacity, so did a simulated house power failure for 5 hours during which the generator powered lights, freezer, refrigerator, computers, a single stove burner, varying the load. With this load, about one pound of propane was used every 30 minutes. I later powered a 1 HP well pump, then a water heater with 4500w elements. The only significant problem I ran into was that my Maruson UPS objected to the generator power input, frequently going to battery power, apparently because the generator power frequency was too high, as high as 63.8 Hz. For anyone having the same problem: it is possible to adjust the frequency although not described in the owner's manual. See the picture of the adjustment screw. I adjusted the screw counterclockwise in small steps until the VFT meter (use the mode button to display frequency) showed a range of 59.8 to 60.4 Hz. When grid power goes out I’ll have no problem because this will keep everything running without gasoline generators. Also it switches to inverter power anytime the grid goes down without me doing anything. Solar panels will keep battery charged in daylight ( as soon as I get them installed ) so night and day I’ll still have everything running. If power is off for days it really doesn’t matter. Plus I’m saving a lot of money on my electric bill now. Inverter/ with batteries in the day and grid and charge batteries at night. ( My electric plan has free electricity at night ). This is the only inverter I’ve found that will allow you to set when it charges your batteries from the grid, and when you want it to go from grid power to inverter/battery power. Several times a day if you want. Then when you want it back to grid power. Or just stay on inverter power all the time. I charge batteries at night when grid power is free on my plan. Then go to inverter/batteries in the day. It has a huge amount of options ( 68 ) to do exactly what you want it to do. You also can add up to 10,000 watts of solar power into it ( has two MPPT’s ; up to 500 vdc ) along with the grid, and batteries, or any combination You can set how much current to charge the batteries from the grid up to 200 amps. Take your time and think what is best for your system and if it’s not how you want, then change the settings until it is. Not hard at all. I absolutely will be adding more of these 10,000 watt inverters, up to 6 total I think it says, as soon as I get more batteries. When this inverter switches, automatically, you set how you want it, to the grid or from grid to inverter/battery power, you will never notice it happens. No flicker or flash and doesn’t cause things to be reset like some do. Tv never flickers or blinks. It is clean, pure electricity. Maybe better than the grid? The price is unbeatable. Considering this whole variable DC drive kit cost about $80 I'm very happy with the result. While not perfect, the value is so high I have to give it 5 stars. If you've been thinking about one of these motors for your micro lathe I say, go ahead! If you are running the 115VAC Marathon motor that Taig sells, then you know about that motor. It's OK, but the speed range with the 4 step pullies is 430 RPM to 1725 RPM, pretty high for larger parts. And it's big, heavy, and kind of brutish - there is no way you need that much power, nor can it even be transmitted with the stock belt. This DC motor setup runs well down to about 5 volts/570 RPM, which is a lathe speed of 140 RPM. It will go a lot slower, but it sounds a bit notchy. It's happier above 5 volts, and I usually have it set about 16 Volts, which makes a lathe speed of 450 RPM to 1800 RPM. The power supply goes to 28 volts and the motor is spinning at 3400 RPM. The motor has plenty of torque for this application. At 7V I have no trouble machining 2\" diameter aluminum at a no drama SFM. Once again, the belt is the limitation. The only negative for me is the motor is kind of loud. It makes an ever rising pitch and volume whine as RPM increases. I only use this lathe for occasional small parts, so the noise doesn't matter. If you are doing production, it might get tiresome. Who knows how long it will last. Next , the dongle that plugs in the RS485 port, never got that working properly, not much info on it apart from a name on the box .SMARTESS. I downloaded the android app and followed the setup , it connected eventually but could not see any data. Instead I used the RS485 port ( ModBus complient) and wrote a python server on a raspi pi, using imported module pyModbusTCP used a usb to rs485 converter lead to link them. I am able to view and change any settings from anywhere there is internet on the client app also using pyModbusTCP I wrote. I found the voltage steps/ increments in settings a bit too coarse for LIFEPO4 battery , 0.2v , this makes a big difference for things like the switch to mains on low battery volts. Oddly all the base voltages are based around a 12.8v system so I guess this would mean 0.1v steps. This made it quite hard to set the voltage settings to comfortable levels, especially for the SOC which I like to keep between 90% ( by lowering the boost voltage setting down a bit) and a minimum of 40% when the winter sun + tree shadows dont allow much panel charging , this is suplimented by the mains grid bypass switching in supplying the power to the loads and also charging the battery. I have a 300AH 24v so charging from 40% to 90% = 150amps to replace. The mains charging belts out a huge range of adjustable current for a 240 AC hybrid from 0 to 80A. The battery could handle 150A but that's just mad, so I have a steady setting of 25A. The more power it's set to, the louder the temperature controlled cooling fans are. My constant power draw is about 120W for freezer and other standby items, rising to 300W when Pcs , monitors, TVs and workstation equipment is powered on during the day. Even with 1600W of panels during these shorter days just can't keep up, so the mains grid bypass is a blessing. The panel LCD is clear and informative the 4 mechanical pushbuttons have a solid feel in operation. The current LCD view is changed with up /down buttons. The manual I got with it has missing entries/ descriptions for what I assume are the unit address for modBus slave and other for setting when using parallel connections. Some of the voltage settings depends on others for their max and min values, so digesting the settings page is a must. A \"high altitude\" kit is required for anything between 2000 ft. and 4800 feet, it's max altitude. For my use case it works great to power up my Starlink Mini for hours on end through the 12V socket. I rarely have to charge it and it can probably run the Starlink for almost 24 hours straight! And it also can take 100 watts from a solar panel which is great. I also contacted their customer support for a button that was missing the seal but they were able to resolve it within no time (Thanks Kein). Definitely can recommend it as a great starter station. Only downside I can really think of is the app is a bit buggy. It does its job ok but the Bluetooth function is wacky at best. The C 1000, by itself, will not run a regular size energy star refrigerator for a full day. It will run a TV for about 5 hours. We were surprised to find that most non energy star TVs pull 200 watts when on and about 50 watts when off. (Our 65\" TV and 32\" TV use nearly the same amount of energy) If you think you are going to quickly charge these power stations with 200 watts of solar panels, you will have to think again. Two 100 watt panels charge at a rate of 30 or 40 watts. To charge the C1000 takes around 25 or 30 hours of sunlight. To charge the C300, it takes about 10 to 12 hours of full sun. We use two 100 watt panels for the C300 because the total output is so low, and they are compatible with the C300. We found that the C300 will not keep my cPap running through the night. We've dedicated a C1000 for it. We purchased three battery expansion units and they make a big difference. The energy star refrigerator runs a full day. The TV runs 10 hours and since we keep the news on almost all day long, the expansion battery helps. We like these units so much that we've decided to run all of our major appliances from them as the main power source. At first, we thought we'd charge it from the wall outlet, AC, but the calculations show that it uses as much power as the appliance so there is no energy consumption savings. We can charge the unit via AC or solar panel as the power station provides power to our appliance. We've decided not to use the BP 1000 for our other freezer or even other refrigerator, we plan to use 2 C 1000 per major appliance. That way, when one runs out, we can safely disconnect it and reconnect the other C 1000. It affords us the ability to continue to power our appliance while the depleted C1000 is charged. Currently, we have the C1000 connected to 3 200 watt panels which supply about 200 watts total output. So it takes 5 hours of full sun to charge. Doing research, I've found that the absolutely best solar panel only generates about 25% of it's rating. Keep that in mind. Be mindful of the IP67 or IP65 rating of the panel you are going to purchase. An IP67 can be submersed in water for a short period of time, so I think it is OK to be in a light rain for a period of time. In fact, it is rated for rain. An IP65 can take a splash of rain, we have a couple of IP65, because we didn't know, but we make sure they are used only when it is a bright, dry, sunny day. IP65 panels are less expensive. When shopping for a power station, be wary of the ones that say you can run your dryer for 30 hours, and they are showing small units. Do the calculations. P = I E which means that Power (in watts) = Current (in amps) TIMES Voltage (in volts). We need to run a sump pump 24/7, pumps are typically rated in AMPS. Our 1/6th hp sump pulls 4.4 amps so that means it needs between 506 and 528 watts PER HOUR. For us, that means we need a power station that will give us nearly 13 KW for a day. What that means, for us, is that we need a pretty huge system that can be charged by solar. It will take a lot of solar panels. Fortunately, we don't have to run the sump all the time so we can use the power station to run our furnace, washer, and dryer. If you are thinking of getting a P 300 for device charging. I've found that iPads pull about 10 watts and the charging cable makes a difference. My old cable won't even charge off the P 300. We had some issues with the app, but it is working fine right now. It is really nice to be able to monitor the unit's charging status and the discharge status. It is also nice to be able to shut off lights right from the app. That's my take on the Anker C1000, C300 and BP 1000. I like them, my husband likes them and we started with 2 and are up to 7. At 30 pounds, they are not too difficult, for my ancient husband to move around. We are both ancient and that should tell you that it is easy to set the app up because that is what I do. The blackouts in the Iberia area of Europe on April 28, 2025 should stand as a warning for all of us. It can happen. In any event, really consider Anker. We are now considering a couple of the F3800 because they can be charged with a GAS generator.\nReview: Powering my Northstar SC 650 truck camper - Update: Returned home after a 30 day trip back in May 2024, traveling from NC to upstate NY in our northstar SC 650,. We used this the Solix C1000 with the expansion battery everyday. Although It won't power our rooftop AC, it powered everything else. Came in super handy during quiet hours when we wanted to use our microwave, or keurig coffee maker and so on. We do carry a generator on board so at the end of everyday around 4-6 pm, we would start our generator and backcharge our entire system. Our onboard solar system would charge our \"house battery\" but the generator would top off the anker system in about 1-1.5 hours depending on how much power was drawn off the system. We keep the system in our camper and backpower through the shore power hookup. It worked flawlessly for the entire trip. It's pretty handy given the weight, I put the main system where we want it and then stack the auxiliary battery and hook them together with the provided cord. No regrets on this purchase to date. The C1000 and BP 1000 work well for our specific needs and physically handling the system wrt weight is just right! After purchasing the solix C1000 and then partnering it with the BP1000, I have doubled the output watts I desire to power my northstar sc650 truck camper over a longer offgrid experience. Although I've not tested it on a multi day trip yet, but testing over several hours and running the things I normally would on shore power, I am extremely happy with what it can now power over extended periods of time. Literally running multiple items from our microwave, furnace, hot water heater, and more, when plugged into the surge pad socket with a 15 amp cord I am essentially running everything I need when I need it. The BP1000 discharges first and then will consume power from the C1000 and Vice-versa when charging the system back up. I believe that the system is setup this way so that the user will always have control over power charging and discharging The system does not have a pass through charge function but rather works like a UPS system in the sense that when plugged into shore power and backcharging, if power is needed to run something, the system will stop charging and immediately switch into ups mode and power what you need in the moment. Our plan is to use this system in campgrounds during quiet hours when gas generators cannot be used. Based on our particular wants & needs, I Would highly recommend. I wanted something small but that packed a high watt output when I need it. So far, so good. Boondocking in my northstar truck camper I am able to backpower the entire camper with the Solix C1000 for about a 24 hour period. This depends of course on what I am running. Occasional microwave oven use, my fridge on propane setting, lights, water pump, even the hot water heater and hot air furnace, again, limited high use items. Only used so far on 2 overnight trips. Next morning I use an 1800-2200 watt generator to power the anker back to full from about 15% only drawing a set watt charge of about 750. The generators rpm only increase a little bit and the anker is charged in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I could increase my charge watts to 1000 and be done inside of 50 minutes or less but I want to break the unit in several charge cycles first and I like running my generator on eco mode. The anker is not heavy at only 28 lbs and I can set it up on my campers kitchen counter or just about anyplace else inside my rig. The inverter is installed in a special corner of my basement. I installed a special box with breakers and ran wires and conduit to all the places I need. Their PC software for USB works, but divides some voltages by 4, probably because they reuse their firmware code for 12V models. EDIT: took me a while, but I figured out the included wifi data logger module only works with its special app. I had a minor configuration problem, but Customer Support was very responsive and sent me the correct Voltage parameter logic to make sure I don't keep cycling and clicking the relays on cloudy days: 15<12<04<14<35<37<05<(09,11). Considering this whole variable DC drive kit cost about $80 I'm very happy with the result. While not perfect, the value is so high I have to give it 5 stars. If you've been thinking about one of these motors for your micro lathe I say, go ahead! If you are running the 115VAC Marathon motor that Taig sells, then you know about that motor. It's OK, but the speed range with the 4 step pullies is 430 RPM to 1725 RPM, pretty high for larger parts. And it's big, heavy, and kind of brutish - there is no way you need that much power, nor can it even be transmitted with the stock belt. This DC motor setup runs well down to about 5 volts/570 RPM, which is a lathe speed of 140 RPM. It will go a lot slower, but it sounds a bit notchy. It's happier above 5 volts, and I usually have it set about 16 Volts, which makes a lathe speed of 450 RPM to 1800 RPM. The power supply goes to 28 volts and the motor is spinning at 3400 RPM. The motor has plenty of torque for this application. At 7V I have no trouble machining 2\" diameter aluminum at a no drama SFM. Once again, the belt is the limitation. The only negative for me is the motor is kind of loud. It makes an ever rising pitch and volume whine as RPM increases. I only use this lathe for occasional small parts, so the noise doesn't matter. If you are doing production, it might get tiresome. Who knows how long it will last. Overall, the design is generic and easy to understand. There are only 2 minor drawbacks, one is the way the AC plugs are arranged, it would be very hard to plug in 2 AC devices with large plugs at the same time and in the rare case you could plug in two large plugs, one of those plugs likely block access to some of the USB ports the other very minor drawback is the size, based on the pictures, battery size and the measurements on the sale page, I expected the power station to be a bit smaller than it actually is, there are other power stations with the same size batteries that come in much smaller form factors, this power station is not meaningfully smaller than power stations with twice the battery capacity. (I'll upload pictures to support this statement). For the money this power station is still a win, it's light and small and with its LFP battery it should last for many years even if used and recharged daily. It would be a great little \"starter power station\" for someone who is new to power stations and doesn't want to spend a lot of money to sample these types of products. With the proper solar panel this could be part of a very small solar generator, and it could be a good introduction to \"green power\" for camping and such. For me this is part of my \"distributed\" off grid power solution where I have a small power station in each room just in case of storms and for the fun of it. Although I don't know the name of the actual manufacturer, I like all three of the power stations I have that seem to be products of the same OEM. For reference the Tenergy T600 is the largest of the three in the pictures above, it's on the right, the GoLabs R500 is on the left it was my \"starter power station\" and has been a rock of reliability, the subject of this review is the Pangootek R600 which is in the middle of the other two. In the close up of the Pangootek the AC sockets are visible and it can be seen how close they are to each other. The T600 has a battery that is slightly more than double the size of the Pangootek but physically they are very close in size.\nReview: Sufficient for my camping - Small but powerful. It's OK, but the speed range with the 4 step pullies is 430 RPM to 1725 RPM, pretty high for larger parts. And it's big, heavy, and kind of brutish - there is no way you need that much power, nor can it even be transmitted with the stock belt. This DC motor setup runs well down to about 5 volts/570 RPM, which is a lathe speed of 140 RPM. It will go a lot slower, but it sounds a bit notchy. It's happier above 5 volts, and I usually have it set about 16 Volts, which makes a lathe speed of 450 RPM to 1800 RPM. The power supply goes to 28 volts and the motor is spinning at 3400 RPM. The motor has plenty of torque for this application. At 7V I have no trouble machining 2\" diameter aluminum at a no drama SFM. Once again, the belt is the limitation. The only negative for me is the motor is kind of loud. It makes an ever rising pitch and volume whine as RPM increases. I only use this lathe for occasional small parts, so the noise doesn't matter. If you are doing production, it might get tiresome. Who knows how long it will last. I thought I ordered dual fuel but turns out it’s gas only. Got as a gift for my hubby. He loves it. He said it’s nice because it is light enough he can still pick it up and put in the bed of his truck. He ordered all the parts to wire in to our main panel. Important to have a lock out switch in this application allowing only the main breaker on or the generator breaker on, never both and never fed through a home outlet. Run 6 gauge wire from panel to twist lock outlet and the use an appropriate cord from your 50 A slot on the generator to the new outlet you wired outside your house from the panel. This is a powerful generator and can be used as we are for backup power for the house as well. Tank holds 6.6 gallons and after 5 hours still had 3/4 tank.
