Cane is my new favorite bad boy
I am such a huge fan of Adriana Locke and absolutely love everything I read by her an this was no exception!Cane Alexander is a bad boy who doesn’t ever let anyone get close to him especially someone of the opposite sex. He thought he was in love once, but she ripped his heart out. One night he meets the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen and immediately wants to take her to bed. Unfortunately for him, Jada doesn’t fall for Cane’s charm.Jada Stanley has had a rough adulthood. Her husband turns out to not be the man of her dreams and has left her broken. She wants a fresh start so she goes back home to be with her sister and dad.Cane and Jada try to see if the chemistry between them is purely physical or if there could be something more. However, there are outside sources that don’t want that to happen and it might just cost one of them their lives. This book will keep you engaged and wanting for more! I couldn’t put it down and needed to know what was going to happen next!

perfection
This story has it all charismatic characters, romance, beautiful friendships, loving, loyal familial bonds. Deep and painful heartbreak, life's unfortunate scars, and past sufferings. One of the surprising things about this amazing story is the quick wit, humor, and totally realistic, raw, yet believable plot. The intertwining of relationships and the sweet, warm hearted relatability each character touches your heart. The feels are endless, the danger and excitement are a complete bonus and you just can't put this glorious book down. I completely loved it. Highly recommend it and feel that not only was it a true pleasure to get lost in, but also the type of story with characters we all need to be more like in this world. Supportive, understanding, patient, loving, forgiving and compassionate. Well done Adriana

You have to meet Cane!!
I am mad it took me so long to read this book!!! I LOVED Cane!!! Adriana Locke sure can give us some great men!!! Jada is a strong woman who FINALLY got herself out of a bad marriage. Now she is with her sister and her man at a restaurant when she meets Cane. Right away he does something to her. But she is trying to stay away from the kind of guy she thinks he is. The bad boy. But what she doesn’t know is under all of that bad boy stuff is a gentle, loving and protective guy. The first time Cane sees Jada he is taken aback by her. At first he just wants her for a couple of hours. But then he realizes he wants her for a lot more than that!! I loved the way Cane and Jada’s relationship progressed. Of course there are things that get in the way but the way they handle them is great. He proves over and over that he wants her and wants her for forever. It takes Jada time to really believe but she finally does!! Cane’s bestfriend Max is dating Jada’s sister Carrie. It was nice to get a bit of them in the story too and I can’t wait to dive into their story next!!!

A Wonderful Exception
I was blown Away with this story. The Main Characters made you want to be apart of it all. Jada thought she had it all a loving family, a loving husband and a career she enjoyed. That was until she the verbal abuse started and confirming what she had a feeling was happening when she comes home and finds her husband doing their neighbor. She moves back home to be surrounded by her family and a new start. Cane is a man with everything at his fingertips, money, and women come easy. All it took was having dinner with his Best Friend Max and his Girlfriend Kari ( which in turn is Jada's sister). Well one look and he and he knows he wants to know more about Jada. Cane is use to going after what he wants but what he doesn't know is one night will not be enough. But you see Jada swore off Bad Boys and Cane is every bit of a Bad Boy. What they both didn't know that aqua the trouble that happen years ago that took his Father away will rear it's head again and to punish Cane the enemy will touch what Cane hold dear to him Jada . Can Jada look pass her thoughts of Cane breaking her heart and her not being able to put it back together can Cane really change his ways to prove to Jada that she has taken his heart and held everything in her hands. This is a 100% Must Read, well done Adriana Locke your debut Book was AMAZING.

Every rule has an exception
The Exception was Adriana Locke's debut novel and I loved it!!They say there is an exception to every rule.Jada Stanley has just moved back home to Arizona after divorcing her cheating husband. She has set rules for herself so she doesn't end up back in the same situation as before. Cane Alexander has his own set of rules. He wants to keep life simple and avoid complications and drama. The moment they meet, they feel a draw to each other. Jada knows that Cane is the type of man she doesn't need, but she can't help but want him anyway. They become the exception to each other's rules. As the past comes to the present in shocking ways, can they make it through together?I loved how strong Jada was and that she made Cane work for her affections instead of giving in to him right away. The side characters we meet are awesome. Cane's best friend Max and Jada's sister Kari are great support characters and I can't wait to read their story too.Keep up the amazing work Adriana!!!!

Much ado about noting
MEEEAHH 2.5 stars ...I don't hate it....but I don't love it either. The characters were great, the story line had so much potential, but the whole book felt rushed. Every scene that was becoming interesting (and could of been very interesting) if it was expanded on. The book was a bit of a let down, after reading the reviews I expected better. Every time I would get exited the scene would end in two pages...All the drama in the book was really ' much ado about nothing' as there was hype and build up, but nothing really happened. Please edit and have an amazing book!

Brilliant
I loved Jada and Cane's story. I've laughed, cried, swooned and shouted out loud reading this story. A story of love, friendship and family. I can't wait to read Max and Kari's story.

Nice Enough.
This was a nice enough story with a lovely front cover, It was written well and I appreciate that this was the author's debut novel but I have to be honest and say that there was nothing outstanding or memorable about it and I will soon forget it, but that's just my opinion and not other's hence the four and five stars, maybe I'm just hard to please.

Ok read
Not one of the best books that I have read. The storyline was fine but I didn't like the characters very much especially the hero Cane. I didn't find him likeable and wasn't routing for him to win the girl like I have in other books. He is annoying and over the top arrogant. Max is by far the better of the two.

unsure
I'm a bit confused by this book. The beginning was fantastic then it got to about the 70% mark and then it became predictable and unoriginal . It got good towards the end but was a little disappointed. The author really had me at the beginning, excited for a great book....
