Bigger is Better !
I just received this about three days ago. It is exactly the same as the one that I ordered about 8 or more years ago but it is 50ft. long instead of 25ft. long. I normally use the shorter one for odd jobs in the garage and inflating tires and it has served me well and shows no signs of wear. It is both flexible and tough and I especially love the fact that the fittings swivel. I have been using the 25ft. air hose in conjunction with the Milton Style 1/4" NPT Air Hose Swivel Connector on each end of the hose, which I am sure has contributed to the long life of the shorter hose. Over the past 8+ years, I have been using this old air hose at least once or twice a week and sometimes a lot more. The big advantage of the 50ft. hose is obvious, it is the length but as a plus, the build quality is exactly the same as the older hose. At least once a week, I check the air in three vehicles, a car, SUV and a truck. I always try to keep the air balanced with the changing temperature. In doing so, I get better gas milage and a longer tire life. Because I have three vehicles and only a two car drive way, sometimes it gets to be a pain in the butt because one car is always more than 25ft. away from the compressor which stays in the garage. This requires me to couple another 25ft. hose, not of the same quality as the Plastair Hose. The problem is that I have replaced this hose at least 2 times during this period. Now I use my new 50ft. hose to reach all three vehicles with ease.

Very Good While it Lasts ...
I bought one of these hoses several years ago, and was so happy with it that I ended up buying 3 more for a total of 4. I have used them for just over four years and have had two of them fail via a rupture. I leave my system pressured to 90psi all the time, but the hoses get only occasional use. The first one split near the end (coiled end, not the straight end) and my compressor ran until it overheated and shut off via thermal overload. I cut off about two feet of the hose and attached another end with clamps. Last week another of the hoses developed a split about in the middle of the hose and this one was small enough that the compressor (big five horse Ingersoll Rand) would keep up with it until I heard it running and shut it down.I examined the plastic on both splits and it appears to have degraded and become almost crystaline or granular like sugar. These hoses do not appear to have a reinforcing braid built into them, and therefor the first split was quite large. I have become concerned enough to quit using them and have gone back to the non-coiled reinforced rubber hoses for the time being. I am looking for something just like these that has a better plastic and the reinforced braid built into them.

Great for a portable auto compressor
I purchased this as a replacement hose for my litte dc-powered 12v compressor that I use for airing up after beach trips. The hose coils are smaller in diameter than I envisioned (not a bad thing), only about 3" diameter coils. The hose, coiled up as pictured, is a little under two feet long. The connector on the pigtail has a built-in swivel, which is a nice touch.I wouldn't use this for shop duty or in a situation where it is always pressurized, but it would be perfect for light use--compact, hard to tangle, etc. Note that the realistic usable length is probably 12-15' before it starts getting really taut, but it will easily reach the rear tires on both sides when the compressor is sitting on the ground near the front of the car. If I were using it for, say, running a trim nailer, I'd get a longer version.

Good for construction tools
This is a good quality line. I do a lot of trim work and it keeps the hose out of the way but has mor reach tha a 25 foot line. It’s a easier to work with than other manufacturers lines probably due to coil size. It handles a air gun well. But on most lines they tend to weaken and crack so time will tell with this one. I’m a beleaver that cheaper isn’t always better and this is a bit more but looks like a good air line.

Fantastic quality!
I looked at air hoses in local Lowe's and Home Depot and was doubting in their made quality. Anything in under $30 range looked like it's gonna blow with anything over 80psi air pressure. I'm sure it won't, but it looked like it. If you are on the market and seen any of these you know what I'm talking about. Cheap plastic look with even cheaper looking fitings. Now, after reading just a couple of other reviews on this product and same company made 25ft hose i decided to give it a try. When the hose arrived I WAS IMPRESSED! It looks like one of these $60-$80 high-end air coil hoses i've seen, but i got it for a fraction of that price here on Amazon. I will not believe how much you paid for it when you'll see it. I tried it with a wrench and 130psi pressure air. It works great, is super flexible and recoils every time perfectly, even when I really abuse it around the corners. What a great buy!The hose is 1/4" - I think amazon fixed the description by now.

A great buy for medium duty use...you won't be sorry
The quality rivals that of the industrial supply stores, at a much more reasonable price (about half the price). I use this with my portable compressor while racing at the local drag strip. No more winding and unwinding unwieldy hose, no more dragging the compressor from side to side because a shorter one won't reach. This stretches nicely to all four tires with the compressor remaining stationary, and so far has recoiled perfectly. I use a Velcro strap that came with the compressor to secure it, and threw away the crappy plastic hose that was included. I can even stretch it across painted surface if needed and it doesn't scratch or mar.

Recomend for vehicle on board air system
Really happy with this hose, I would give it 5 stars but I have yet to see how long it holds up. I got it for my on board air system on my truck to inflate tires, works great and plenty of length to get to tires even on a long trailer. The small coils make it easy to store, barley takes up more space then a normal 25" coiled hose.

Made in Canada
It's the third that I buy and the first I will not return. It says on the bag Made in Canada. I got the 50 feet. You get an good length without coiling so you have more comfort with your tools. I am not afraid to break the fitting when I change tool at the end. The coiling effect is perfect for me, not too strong, not too weak. When suspended from a 10 ft ceiling, the 50 ft hose will touch the floor. The 25 ft would have been better for me. But I can reach longer with it. I recommend it.

Very close to a 5 star
Having a hard time getting fittings to not leak air. Used Teflon tape. Don't want to overtighten and split the fittings. Other wise product is great.

Recommend heartily to any home shop
Very good quality. Much mor robust than the yellow trash you usually see. Rotating fittings make for no tangles.Very tight seals.Happy

Great Hose!
This really is the best coiled hose that I have ever seen or used. Spend the extra money and get a good, high quality hose. You won't be disappointed!

Nice hose.
Works great and retains its shape regardless how hard I stretch it.
