1 Inch Premium Bookbinding Repair Cloth Tape, 15 Yard Roll, Red

We purchased this to cover the spine of our small churches phone directory. The tape lays down very nice and adheres well. Cutting it was not hard and it looks very nice. This would work great for either repairing older books or putting together homemade books of any sort.

A friend asked me to purchase this for him to start a small business binding prayer books and other books that are used heavily at his religious school. After buying one roll he asked me to get multiple rolls of both black and white tape so it seems these are good products for professional book binding.

I am working to preserve a 110 year old family photograph book that has been thrown around and damaged for all those years. I didn't know what to use, and I thought well, maybe cloth tape. Looking for the right width and length on Amazon, up pops "Bookbinding Repair Cloth Tape". I never have heard of "bookbinding tape", so there is the quality of Amazon, suggesting what I was looking for without me even searching specifically for it. The tape is perfect! Very pliable, excellent adhesion, and very easy to work with.

Wow, where has this tape been all this time? I bought this tape to bind my mini album covers which are canvas panels and it worked great on them. I have been looking for high quality strong tape for quite a while and this product worked really well for the project. It is easy to use too and adhered firmly and neatly as you can see in the photo. I would give it five starts for its high quality, but had to take one star off because it is a little too pricey for a 15 yard roll. I can say that this tape will work great to repair your books including the ones with hard cover. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for strong, durable high quality tape for their book binding projects.

As a retired librarian, I can attest that not any tape will work on a book spine. I've missed the tape I used to use at work, but this stuff is just as good. I had to tape the spine of an old book that was suddenly getting lots of daily use, and this tape worked great! It adhered well, conformed to the shape of the spine gutter, and held up through heavy use. It also has a pleasing cloth texture, not at all plasticky. Very good product.

BookGuard tape was easy to use and exactly what I needed to repair my nightly prayer book that was my mom's at one time. It looks like it should last another 50 years. This is a well loved book and I was so happy book guard tape was able to help me repair it so I can pass it on to my daughter in the future.

I purchased this item because I am making small handmade journals. I ordered the one inch black bookbinding tape because I had a narrow spine to create. I may order wider size in the future for other projects. The tape is very flexible because it is thin like masking tape and not bulky like duct tape. This would also be perfect to repair torn spines. The tape has woven fibers so it will not easily tear. I recommend the tape for book repairs and for beginning bookbinders. It is priced well for the 15 yards in the roll.

For a tape it exceeds my expectations and worth every penny if you are into book binding.It is like a clothlike material so lots of ability to stretch, bend, fold. And it is really sticky.My kids were using it for arts and crafts but this is great for framing art work too as you can use it to adhere the picture to the frame. A little goes a long way though.

I used this product for the back of the frame in a picture. It looked very good but a little expensive for the purpose.

Good strong tape that strengthens the spine and covers over the staples used to put the book together. Looks good on booklets also when repairing spines of printed books.
