I searched high and low for something like this and I found it
I purchased two of these balcony umbrella holders to provide more room on my deck and also provide shade. This will prevent anyone from tripping over those other circular umbrella stands that are very heavy to move. I was pleasantly surprised to see they even had thick rubber covers for the claps. This prevents my railing from getting scuffed up. It also has an opening at the bottom of the umbrella holder for the rain water to drain out. I have to say this product is not cheap, but totally worth it! I highly recommend it. It's very well made and sturdy. This product is well thought out and very well designed. Thanks for a great product.

Great Holder but...
I love this umbrella holder. I bought 2 so I could move the umbrella as the sun moved across the deck. It is super sturdy as the rubber on the plates is really high quality and helps make it more secure without damaging the railing itself. It holds both the 5 foot round umbrella and the 7.5 x 4 foot umbrella with no problem. It also saves a lot of space on the deck. The reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that while the outside of the umbrella holder tube is weather and rust resistant, the inside of the tube is not coated and is starting to rust inside from the rain; only been installed 1 month (see picture). Plus, the cost is really high — I expected it to cost half of what they are charging (esp as the inside tube is rusting).

Hesitant due to price, really happy with purchase!
I first saw this, and spent weeks trying to find something comparable, that was less expensive, Online, and Walked the isles of big box stores trying to find a way to replicate it. I have a very small deck off my back door, enough for 2 chairs and a flower pot, i didn't want a bulky umbrella stand taking up space. It is in full sun for the hottest parts of the day. I feared that this would be a cheaply made, flimsy apparatus, and would not hold up. That they were getting the price asked, because frankly they were the only company I could find making such a thing. Finally, after a couple of months, broke down and bought it, because I wanted to use my deck. It is a substantial piece of equipment! Heavy. and appears extremely durable. Super easy to install, grips with ease, and it is not going anywhere. I havent had it that long, but it Has not slipped, chipped, and the grip provided, that can tighten against your umbrella, to hold it in place, is very good. So often you spend the money on something, to find out the investment wasn't worth it. This was worth the investment. I would be surprised if this doesn't last a long time. Everyone who has seen it, has commented on what a great solution it is, how nice it looks, and how durable it seems.

Fantastic!!!
This is a wonderful product. I bought two for my outside living area in Florida. The stand is hardly noticeable and I use a beach umbrella for convenience in taking the umbrella in and out. I leave the bottom half in (with the point cut off) and then just place the top umbrella in as needed. If you take out the bottom half, the stand is even less noticeable and is no big deal to put in as needed. I spent a long time trying to find something that I could use that would not require the paperwork for HOA approval. This fit the bill. It is easy to move, if needed, is not permanent, drains out rain water, and provides the much needed shade for a Southern exposure. I could not be happier. My living area is now usable at all times of the day!

WOW!! This product is Awesome.
I’ve been looking everywhere for an umbrella holder that attaches onto my deck!!!!No more heavy annoying umbrella base on your deck or patio!!! We have heavy winds up here on the mountain and this holds up perfectly. In the Pics above you can barely see the floating umbrella holder on my railing!!!! So far my friends don’t even notice its there! Top notch product and I’m very excited to buy a bunch of their floating deck tables next. Located in So Cal.

Amazing product
I only wish I bought this product sooner. I have a small deck out in full sun in the afternoon so it gets too hot to enjoy. We used traditional umbrella bases but they take up precious space. And using the hole in a table is ok but you cant move the umbrella when the sun moves. With this we can place the umbrella and just tilt it where we need. It's a little expensive at 80 dollars but it's well worth it . We bought 2 and even plan on a third maybe .I like that it can be taken off and placed elsewhere in a few simple twists of a knob

Just what I was looking for
I wasn't sure if this would work with my narrow balusters but I ordered it anyway to give it a try. After having my deck rebuilt with trex and aluminum railing I could not put my umbrella up in the same way I used to. My balusters are only 1/2 inch but the brackets tightened down on them just fine and they have a great rubbery finish so they hold tight and do not damage. I put the bottom of the pole holder right on the deck so I am not sure of its sturdiness if I was to put it up higher. This was just the solution I was looking for.

Deck Game Changer
OMG. This is a game changer for me. My deck is 8ft+ in the air, gets lots of wind, and Southern exposure. I have bought and return potential solution for cover and that would also withstand mild winds. I have a Trex deck with aluminum railing with thin balusters. I got this today. The stand is sturdy, easy to assemble, and move around. Winds are out and I see no issues or concerns with umbrella waving around like I did in stand nor me anchoring it with bungy cords. I bought another one for corner of deck so all I have to do is move the umbrella to the other stand and secure as the sun moves. Happy!
