dont waste money on more expensive tuners
the only critique is the plastic casign is cheaply made and one of the tuners looks likes its pulling apart at the seem. but works perfect

A bit small but good
Pretty good tuner and the backlight feature makes it very easy to know you're there. It's pretty decent. Wish I could have bought 2 whites and not be forced to buy the black. Didn't care for that. Could have been a little bigger. 1.5" is tiny.

Nordic Essentials' Guitar Tuners are the best on the market!
These are quite possibly the best tuners I have owned. The display is large and easy to read, and with presets for guitar, violin, bass, ukulele, and banjo, as well as chromo and keys, not only is the one of the best deals for any musician (beginner or pro), but it is quite simply a "must have". With the exception of the violin, I have all of the listed instruments for many years, and Nordic Essentials' Tuners have been the best that I have used.Furthermore, Nordic Essentials stands behind their product. This I can attest to. They will rectify any situation with their guitar tuners with complete professionalism. Simply put, they are nice people, and that is the foundation to any business. If you are a musician, whether you are a seasoned professional or a ranked beginner, Nordic Essentials's Guitar Tuners (2 Pack) should be the second thing you purchase (after buying you guitar).Excellent product and excellent seller.

Perishible
In general, this device works well when it works. I started using the Black one at first, and it failed after a year. It is very sensitive and accurate, and the display is bright and readable. The second one only worked for 3 months, and then it began to display incorrect pitch right across all notes. I had to discard it even though it was hardly used. I never dropped it or exposed it to any unusual conditions. I also had to keep the battery out of it when I was not using it. Otherwise, it would drain the battery down while in the off-state.

I play a lot of open/alternate tunings and having a good tuner is invaluable and although I've only had the Nordic 2 pack tuners for a week or so, I'm a very happy camper! In the attached picture you can see the Nordic tuners on my National Resorocket and Collings Dreadnought respectively and on the third guitar, Larrivee Orchestra Model you may be able to see the Sabine tuner on the body near the neck. I have been using the Sabine for several years and purchased for about $40. I wanted to see how the Nordics calibrated with Sabine so placed both on at the same time and they gave identical results, i.e. two tuners for less than the price of one with no tradeoff in performance. In addition the Nordics have the flexibility to attach and turn in basically 3 axis motion to make visibility excellent from the playing position as shown. Regarding use, you can cycle through a number of instruments or chromatic modes with a simple quick touch of the large button, I'm just leaving it on chromatic and to turn On/Off you just hold the same button longer, very simple and just as you want. As I said I've only had them a week so no comment on longevity but if they last as expected probably one of the better purchases I've made in the last 25 years for playing (with the exception of my wonderful axes shown!). I highly recommend! Eric

You should own a clip on tuner.
Listen, If you don't have a clip on tuner this is not the worst you could buy. It's not the best, but that mainly has to do with the limited angles you can turn it to and not anything to do with accuracy or how the screen looks in bright or dark conditions. It has a few tuning modes that you'll mostly ignore, as you would with any other tuner, but that's to be expected.Pros - Its a tuner and it does indeed help you tune (fairly accurately at that.) You have a backup!Cons - It doesn't swivel that way that I want it to so I find myself moving my head or my guitar to look at it.

Excellent tuners
These little tuners work great and are very inexpensive. I've had problems with other guitar tuners, especially on the low E string. But these tuners are very sensitive and have no problem picking up all the notes. I also like that they support several other instruments and have a chromatic mode as well.

"This is the one - I mean, two!"
Two tuners for what I have paid for just one....sounded good to me, so I ordered it. Well, these tuners are better than good: these tuners are great! I use one for my banjo and the other for my fiddle. It is wonderfully convenient to know that I have a tuner in each music case - no more forgetting to switch the tuner to the other case when I'm running out the door. And the best part is that these are versatile, quality tuners that can be set to tune more than one particular instrument. So come on string -players, this is the tuner for you! Incredibly simple to use, accurate, and the screen swivels for a clear view from any angle. The battery case does not slide open, but has a slot instead; so a coin or something similar is needed to change the battery. Just a very minor inconvenience as far as I'm concerned. Very satisfied with the purchase of the Nordic Essentials tuner. Don't need two tuners? Give one to a string-playing friend - they will thank you!
