Works Well for Foot Drop
I developed a right foot drop from a spinal injury. My right foot was dragging, causing me to trip.My physical therapist recommended this brace. It required installing two hooks on my right sneaker through the lace eye holes, but that was pretty straightforward.I've been using this brace for about two months now, and it works well for raising my right foot. It's easy to put on. Then I just crank the knob until my foot is raised to the desired position. It's held up well, also. It's been a good choice for me, and I would recommend it to others.

Terrific product !
I had a stroke seven years ago. My first AFO m wasmiserable as it fit inside the shoe and cost $1000dollars. This is my fourth one of these. Very dependable and can be worn with any shoe, but not boots.

Works as intended but would like to see other colors!
After a recent spine injury left me with drop foot, I purchased this to keep me from tripping over my big toe, and, more importantly, to allow me to drive again! It does those things very well--as long as I'm wearing shoes of course. This brace is easy to configure and is highly adjustable. Even though I am a small-boned person, it easily met my needs, as it would a person twice my size. I like the fact that it comes with 2 sets of "anchors" for my shoes. However, like its more-often prescribed competitor, it comes only in black. I feel compelled to wear black slacks, stockings and shoes to make the orthotic less "obvious." Can't somebody make one in summer white, a shade of tan or even flesh tones please!

This brace essentially uses that as a leverage point which in my opinion is too great to be doing much more than casual walking
As a mid-aged AFO wearer for the last 15 years I will say that the product is OK, but it lacks the support in lateral (side to side) motion that a regular AFO provides. I consider myself as a very active AFO user, typically walking/hiking 2-3 miles 4 to 5 times a week. I was VERY hopeful that this could be alternative to my Otto Bock Walk-On, but again it lacks stability. I work in the orthotic/prosthetic field and I am always keeping my eye out for the latest AFO products as I cannot get around without one in my daily use.Something that is a bit concerning to me is the amount of leverage that is put on the lower tibia/fibula with braces such as this one. This brace essentially uses that as a leverage point which in my opinion is too great to be doing much more than casual walking. I bring this up because I ordered this brace after I saw a Youtube video of the product showing a young man (somewhat reminded me of myself) running around through a park with this brace. I would not recommend doing that or you might end up hurting yourself. It will work for casual walking and I have used it in an airplane once. In the medical field we simply do not make braces that puts that amount of leverage on an extremity like that. So when you consider the amount of force that is being put through the lower leg where this brace sits as a person runs and their heel strikes the ground and toes push downward, I cannot say that it would be wise to try and repeat this yourself. All of that force is going through the back of this brace (and its a lot of force) and into your leg just above your ankle with each motion.I also had a bit of difficulty getting the brackets to work with my hiking boots. My box was missing a bracket making it further difficult to use. It should also be noted that the the pictures show grommets in wearers shoes, you need a special tool to put those in your shoe that is not included. They do include over-the-existing lace hole brackets, which is what mine was missing. It is nice to be able to open the ratcheting mechanism and be able to extend your foot without taking the brace or your shoe off!I would recommend it as a back up/lounging around the house AFO but not as a primary device when you want to be active.

Quality not greet
The design is good and it works well, I have bought 4 of these in last 2 years they re-designed the strap and the last two I purchased lasted 4 months. For the money they charge I would expect they would last longer

I WOULD GIVE MORE STARS IF I COULD!!!!
I tore 3 of 4 ligaments in my knee due to a Trampoline park accident. I ended up with nerve damage causing paralyzes to my foot (drop foot). I was told that more then likely I would have drop foot for the rest of my life. 'I'm a 34 year mom with a very active 8 year old, and those other braces are rigged, bulky, uncomfortable, and would only slow me down,' I thought. Plus when this is all over I still want to wear my cute shoes. So that's what I Googled, "Wearing cute shoes with drop foot." That's how I found this wonderful brace. My therapists were in awe when I introduced the Elevate brace to them. They saw my progress and immediately started directing their other patients to this wonderful brace. They would even schedule patient appointments around mine so they could demonstrate how easy it was to install and attached the brace to their shoes. I hope more therapy centers learn about the Elevate Drop Foot Brace, so that others with drop foot can live a normal and comfortable life.
