Elegant Glass Scale that Needs a Backlit Screen
The innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale is good looking. With a beautiful design and elegant glass surface, you won’t be embarrassed to leave the scale out in plain sight in your bathroom. The scale measures weight quickly and displays it on a large LCD display. It would have been nice to have a backlight for the display as it can be difficult to read in dim lighting. The innoHaus AGS200 is a digital scale—plain and simple. It won’t calculate BMI. It won’t send data to a smartphone. It won’t remember your previous weights or give you weight history or trends. Your weight is strictly displayed on the scale when you step on it. That’s it. However, this isn’t an entirely bad thing. This is a no hassle scale. There is no app to download and install. The batteries are included and pre-installed in the scale. Simply pull the battery tab out and the scale is ready to go. I was pleased about that as our “high tech” scale has to be lifted up and fresh batteries (not included with that scale) installed all too often. Besides the innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale is much less dorky looking.Frankly, although it is cool to see my weight from a year ago on my phone’s app, there is still something to be said for a simple, digital scale. After all, if you really want to track your weight, simply keep a pen and writing pad nearby.

No-Frills, Budget Scale (3+ Stars)
This low-profile glass digital scale is about as basic as it gets. You step on the scale, and it accurately measures your weight. (I compared to two scales I already own.) It does not have a backlit display, however, and that makes it difficult to see in less-than-bright areas. The numbers are large enough, at least -- not huge, but large enough. It must be placed on a hard, flat surface. Batteries are included. Many digital scales these days calculate BMI and have memory functions for several users. This scale is not one of those. If you are looking for a basic, value-priced scale, this may be it. For me, though, it's not nice enough, and I placed it in a guest bathroom instead of using it myself every day.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

elegant, simple scale
This is an elegant scale that you won't mind leaving out in your bathroom - it's a sturdy glass and it doesn't have a high profile, being close to the ground. The batteries are included, all you have to do is remove a plastic strip to have it start working, and I don't have a problem seeing the weight (in pounds, though you can change it, apparently), when I stand on it. The display is black against a light grey background, though. You need this in a hard surface for best results, and I had been to the doctor's the other day so I was surprised to see what seemed to be a pound or two off on the results. It did produce similar results when I tried it a couple of times on two different surfaces, so if it's off a little initially, it's staying 'steady' after that so at least I can track from a baseline. It's not going to keep track of your weight for you or different people, or calculate BMI. It's just going to show you the weight of the person or object on it - it's a simple scale that looks good.

Erratic Initially, But Seemed to Settle to Consistent Readings ... Very Attractive ...
"innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale" is aesthetically pleasing, easy to use and seems reasonably accurate. When removed from the box, this scale was erratic, giving us multiple weights for the same person, even though the individual weighed within minutes of the previous usage. The scale was at least 5 lbs. higher than our Taylor Professional scale that had been calibrated and set to be identical with the scale in our physician's office. Since the initial use, the "innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale" is now reading consistently and is so close to our other scale that it can be used confidently. I liked the large digital display as it is easy to read, especially in the morning when I have not yet put my glasses on.Because of the initially erratic readings and some doubt as to whether the innoHaus will remain consistent in its measurement of weight, one star has been deducted.

Decent Scale But Not Luxurious
This is a rather generic digital scale. The numbers are easy to read and the glass surface is easy to clean. It seems accurate but the scale isn't as sensitive as others I've used. If you don't put your whole body on it, you don't get a reading. If you wanted to try putting a 14 lb object on it, for example, it won't recognize it at all. Apparently there's a minimum of weight required before it emits a reading. Otherwise, it's ok but nothing special.

Not accurate
It keeps giving me several different weights at the same time. Very annoying!

lasted well over a year
I know that products don't last as long today as they did when I was younger, and it's sad that it's remarkable that this is working well after a year, but I wanted to note that. I waited to review it until I had used it for a while then forgot to post my review. It does appear to be backlit but it's not really bright, it's just more of an indicator that it's on and the numbers are dark grey. it's basic and works.

Do not buy!
It broke within the first week of having it. No one dropped it, it just says ‘Err’ as in error, then keeps going up in weight.
