Easy to insall
I got the fan in no time at all. It was easy to install even though there were no instructions and no screws. I am yet to connected to see how well it works but size wise is good for my van.

I installed this in the roof in a camp trailer ...
I installed this in the roof in a camp trailer bathroom. I wired it through a windup type fan timer. It works very well and has plenty of air volume for a small bathroom. It doesn't come with any instructions but it's not too difficult to figure out.

Not the most powerful, but small footprint.
Great fan ! Doesn't move a ton of air, but will circulate a van (or other vehicle) to lower condensation inside.

Very quiet
Less than pleased with the packaging. It arrived in a plastic bag inside a large box. I was amazed that it arrived in good condition.Apparently we missed the part about this being DC. That isn't how we were planning to use it. Our bad. We worked it into our plan.Absolutely no directions. i read the reviews so we knew that. ...Now, we're about as inept as we can be, but we figured it out how to do this. Works as expected. It's only March, so time will tell how effective it is in expelling the south's summer heat from our van in the summer. But it operates well.Very quiet. You'll never know it's running.

Very easily breakable handle and cap. Not brown.
Not brown. Incorrect description. Replaced a very old and broken Ventline vent with this 12v fan version of the same size and design. While I like the minimal footprint, it isn’t hard to tell why it was broken on the bottom and missing the lid on top. There are three major, inexpensive-to-fix flaws with this unit that Ventline has failed to correct in decades of manufacturing. They appear designed to fail:1.) The handle that opens and closes the cap is very thin and brittle plastic. Imagine a plastic spoon handle, only twice as wide and a bit longer. That’s the closest example I can give of how weak the plastic is. The amount of force required to pull and push it is too great and eventually it HAS to break. Designed to fail.2.) The worthless foam “seal” around the underside if the lid is the very airy/porous type of foam that deteriorates very quickly in the sun and soaks up moisture like a towel, yet Ventline chose this to seal a “waterproof” vent in a direct-sunlight, roof application. Designed to fail.3.) Vent cap lost in transit. This is easy enough to fix yourself IF you do this install yourself and know about it, but why the design hasn’t been adjusted is baffling to me. If your installer also doesn’t do it, you’re probably replacing lids every season without a clue why. The screw heads are just big enough to cover the hole edges and hold the vent lid down. There are only two when there should be at least three, preferably four. In the first above-average gust of wind, or sustained heavy winds (as in driving at highway speed in an RV) the lid is going break at the screws and be gone because the contact area of the screw head is so minimal and the force on the cap is so heavy, it just breaks the plastic edge off around the head and the cap flies away, ESPECIALLY if the screws have been tightened too much and compromised the “integrity” of the plastic. This is why you see so many used RV’s with missing vent covers. Designed to fail.TO FIX: You can reinforce the cap by adding a piece or two of duct tape over each hole and poking a hole thru it to insert each screw. This will provide an extra layer of strength to the plastic flange the holes are drilled in. Next, you can add a small washer to each screw to expand the surface area contacted by the screw head and greatly improve the overall wind resistance. Five minute job, seasons of hassle mitigated.

Good product!
Super easy to install! Slightly weak airflow, but still really good!

Excellent replacement fan
Replaced identical 17 year old fan that died. The new one is much quieter, has a smooth motion to open/close, and was easy to install with existing wires.

Great small option for roof vent
Works great for our converted minivan camper and small enough to not be super noticeable. Only wish it had Variable speed.

works good
Installed it on a dodge promaster city and it works great. It is still a new install but seems to move enough air when turned on. I have slept with it open and all windows rolled up and there isn't any humidity buildup on the windows. It has been around 4C and has worked better than expected.
