It contains the 9 essential amino acids.. but I do not recommend this product being that they getting their raw materials from China and other countries. Call and ask a Now Foods nutritionist at 888-669-3663 if you have any other questions or want to know the exact country the (raw material) amino acid is made. Dymatize and Universal have a good quality amino acid complex that you may want to try

Nothing added so, yeah bitter. This is a basic recipe I use, in a blender: 1 cup water 1 banana (for thickness) Handful of frozen fruit (usually blueberries for me, frozen makes a cold shake) 1 tablespoon protein powder 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
