Oil be gone
This product was perfect for my 2009 Mercedes Benz gl320 diesel...it fit exactly and was easy for me to install. There is no more oil leak from the housing. The price was perfect and I received it in a timely manner. Thanks amazon

Just something to know…
This is a standard Mercedes part. No issues there.However, it may help you to know that there are aftermarket seals available if either seal has failed. (Mercedes won’t sell just the gasket.)And, none of the holes are threaded. (I’m surprised this isn’t mentioned in the listing.) Your existing bolts act as the self tapping kind — just take a breath and screw!

Defective
After 2 months the part started to leaking oil in the same spot. Not happy with

After 4,000 miles, holding up well...
Replaced original oil filter housing that sprung a leak. Took it upon myself to replace belts, pulleys, and alternator, and the original oil filter housing that that sprung a leak and sprayed over all these components. It was an involved process and required the radiator and front grill parts to all be removed.Recently did an oil change after driving it for about 4,000 miles, and all seems well so far to this point.

New Housing has an MB stamp and with gaskets and inside oil filter!
The new MB oil filter housing is working, I would buy again. The only bad thing is the top black cap was super-super-extremely tight to remove! None of my oil filter cap fit or wrenches worked, I had to use leather belt strap and a clamp and hammer to remove the cap!. I mounted housing to the main block, and then removed top cap, it was so tight! The reason for purchase with it was leaking under SUV onto the rack-n-pinon, and all over under car! For so long the oil ate the R-n-P rubber grommets and the main steering is wobbling.!! You'll need torx-type sockets forsure!
