Life-changing for sacro-iliac joint pain!
Sitting has been nearly impossible for me since I was injured in a car accident a decade ago. I have titanium rods in my sacroiliac joint (SIJ) and have terrible, chronic SIJ pain for which I see pain management. Sitting has been a near impossibility for me for 10 years now. For the last 4 years, I have not been able to sit for more than 15 minutes in any seat other than a bungee chair. I also go through periods where the pain is so bad that the pressure of my mattress against my SIJ is excruciating, and during those times I have been sleeping on a giant piece of 3" foam that I cut a big hole in so my sacrum could be "suspended" (i.e. weightless with nothing pressing on it) while I slept. People, trust me when I say this has been a very painful, demoralizing, and depressing decade. And I am too young (45) to not be able to sit or lie comfortably for the rest of my life. So...I finally reached my breaking point and decided to search for cushions that would allow me to sit or lie on the couch like a normal human being. The first 5 cushions I bought were mostly useless for my constant sacroiliac joint and occasional sit bone pain. (One had a tailbone cutout which was the least helpful. One was the Kolb's gel cushion and that was way too hard - like sitting on a rock. I'm only 105 lb so maybe I just don't weigh enough to compress it, but that was an immediate no for me. The remaining three were variations of the donut variety with a hole cut out for sit bones and a tailbone divot. One of these is so-so and did manage to help me a bit while sitting bolt-upright in an airplane seat for a 4 hour flight, but none of them are helpful when sitting in a reclined position.)The Purap Kiro cushion was the 5th one I bought and the first one that was a game changer. First of all, be aware that the cushion is quite thin. It's advertised as 1.5" thick but it does not stay that thick once you sit on it. I first tried it sitting upright and partially reclined in a recliner, and it was just ok in those body positions. For my particular variety of pain, this cushion isn't thick enough for sitting upright. But where it shines is when I am mostly lying down, like in the corner of the sectional with my upper body reclined against the couch but my lower abdomen, pelvis, and legs laying flat on the couch. Any time I tried that position in the past decade, I would be in considerable pain within 15 minutes. When I tried the same position with the Purap Kiro cushion under my lower back and pelvis, I was able to stay in that position PAIN-FREE for over an hour! I could not believe it. Unless you have chronic pain, you can't understand the immense mental relief of finding a new way to relax that is not painful. I was nearly crying from joy! So I use this particular cushion in that position - reclining on the couch - and it has been truly life-changing to be able to lay on the couch like a normal human being these past few weeks! I call it my "waterbed cushion" because when I lie on it, my typically painful SIJ just feels like it is floating comfortably on a water cloud. Now I assume if you made it this far you are also wondering what the other two helpful cushions are. Well, ask and ye shall receive! Since I had so much luck with the Purap Kiro, I decided to try the Purap wheelchair cushion. I expected it to be exactly the same as the Kiro except bigger, but that's not the case. I can't tell exactly how they are different (other than the cover, which is quite different on the wheelchair cushion because it's a waterproof/mess-proof material that can be wiped down with a damp cloth). But the way the gel is distributed in the wheelchair cushion seems a bit different than the Kiro. I use the Purap wheelchair cushion for sleeping in my bed! Now when the mattress pressure causes pain, I just slide this under my lower back/pelvis (instead of having to lug out my twin-mattress-sized-foam-with-a-hole-cut-out topper), and I'm back to floating on that water cloud. Heaven!Lastly, I was still looking for something to help me sit comfortably upright or slightly reclined (like in a car, regular chair, or recliner) and I hit the gold mine when I purchased the Purple Double Cushion. The Double Cushion has a large grid on one side a small grid on the other, giving you different options depending on your seat surface (hard vs. soft) or your particular variety of pain. I keep that one on my recliner and it has made a huge difference. So after 10 years of not being able to sit comfortably in any seat other than a bungee chair, I finally found 3 cushions that allow me to sit on any chair or sofa (or lie in bed) with no-to-low pain. These 3 cushions have given me a sense of normalcy and a freedom to travel that I haven't had in a decade. Truly life-changing!

Best cushion for long time sitting jobs
Use it while driving to work.I am a software engineer with a long commute for almost 2 hours.Driving 2 hrs a day is tiring and not comfortable. I have tried various cushions from the cheap foam one's to the expensive gel one's but none really worked for me. So I was a bit skeptical when I bought this cushion. Its on the expensive side. It arrived a few days back.It is nicely made and not thick -i measured it to be around 1 inch thick. I put it on my car seat (I drive a honda pilot) and the first thing I noticed was that it fits nicely and does not raise me a lot. I have been driving around for a few days now and it is helping me. Definately more comfortable than my car seat and the minor aches which we feel while driving are gone. Feels a bit different initially. Very different feeling from foam and gel. Feels like you are floating. I am impressed. Will keep evaluating it and if something changes will update the review.

Good product, needs just a little improvement.
Very comfortable, have definitely noticed I can sit longer and my legs don't go numb like they used too with my current chair. Only minor compliant, the top of it tore by the logo due to some jeans I was wearing, they should make the material a bit more resistant to scuffs and stuff. Otherwise the little metal pleats that most jeans have can tear it. Not the air part as it seems that that's hidden further within the layers of the seat but still.

Probably great for wheelchair, but not for office chair without arms
Comfortable if put in deep armchair with arms, probably ok for a wheelchair, but for a task chair without arms, this is downright treacherous! It is like sitting on a balloon - and the first time I sat on it it nearly threw me off onto the floor!More cautious 2nd and 3rd try, it is fairly comfortable like a very firm waterbed might be, but never stable-you rock and roll around and have to always be aware or have walker handle close by for stability. Wish there were something comfortable when pain is not in tailbone, but rather caused by fracture of one sit-bone. It's a sharp bony area, and no pillow I tried addresses this.

Did not work for me.
For this price, I expected it to give me awesome relief for my sitting bone pain. It did nothing just like all the other cushions I tried. I do not see why this one is so expensive. I do not recommend it.

AWESOME!!
This seat cushion is simply AWESOME!!Since purchasing the OASIS 3D a month ago I have become addicted! I now use it whenever I’m sitting for extended periods. I spend many hours working at a desk each day. This cushion allows me to work comfortably, and for hours at a time, without feeling pressure points or soreness. On several long distance drives (8+ hours) using this cushion I arrived noticeably fresher and relaxed. The OASIS 3D cushion appears well built and very durable. The fabric is easily cleaned and slip resistant – the cushion always stays in place. Compared to other more expensive seat cushions I have tried, this one’s a gem!
