2 person job
(Requires a drill , 5/32" drill bit) not included. Easy to install just find the studs/ beams located in the ceiling. Recommend using a stud finder. Once you find the area you would like to hang this from just drill 4 holes With 5 /32" or (4,0mm) Drill bit. Then simply twist the hanging screws by hand. Fun little project. I did it myself and I have little experience using tools. If you find this review helpful please click the helpful button found below -Amazon man

Inexpensive and dang nice pot rack!
Excellent change of ceiling rack for us. Two pictures of what we had it set as before (straight bar across) and then what it was after. I used the hooks that came with it and had to shorten up the chains a bit in order to have it closer to the beam than not. Took maybe 15 minutes set up/measure/drill and put in the hooks.Only issue I had was putting two Lodge Cast Iron pans 10" and 8" skillets that weigh 13 lbs between the two of them. Removed those from both being on one side and it went from a little bit lopsided to pretty much perfect. I bought the rack with extra hooks, not sure I have used even one of them. Plenty of space recovered from having this pot rack and I kept the old one and moved it farther down the beam in order to hang garlic/onions and whatever else comes to mind.Have had it a month and as you can see its pretty full up, no issues with bending hooks or unbalanced problems either.

Great product!!!! If your looking, get this one
Awsome pot rack. Sturdy build and great look for the price. Install was strait forward and didn't take long at all. It hold all of my pots pans and lids balanced with no problem. I ended up buying 4 ceiling mount light fixture covers (pictures) to make the install a bit neater looking. If I had more pots I would buy another one. Good buy!!

I would definitely buy this again
SEE BOTTOM FOR UPDATESThis looks great and is very strong. I use all my hooks for pans and don't have to worry about balance.A note on price - I shopped around A LOT. This was half the cost of others, and it is perfect for my needs. The only way to do it cheaper is to make your own (see refurbished ladder-cum-pot-holder for those DIY wannabes HAHA). Update: I see Amazon has it for about $50 right now. I got it from Amazon for $35 about a month ago. Worth it for the higher price as well, but wait for the better price, maybe?A note on installation - The measurements between the places where the chains meet the rack are almost perfectly 16 inches, which is the measurement between most studs. The instructions recommend not installing the chains at an angle, so this placement makes it easy to hang the chains straight, as recommended (provided you have 16 inches between studs). By the way, the kit comes with anchors in case you can't hang the chains from studs. I have low ceilings, so had to double up the chains so they don't hang down. I thought I would have to cut the chains to make it look okay (and of course dreaded it because I don't know how), but it looks fine doubled up.UPDATE 9/15/17: This is still going strong over two years later. My kitchen is SO small and this completely revolutionized my organization. I would still recommend this 100%.UPDATE 3/27/18: Yep, still loving this. No wear and tear showing at all.

Seems well constructed, and easy to hang
Pot rack seems very sturdy, and install was simple. Helped that the joists were the standard 16” apart that this is designed for. We have 3 cast iron and 2 carbon steel pans, plus a large stock pot and a few other items hanging from it, and it seems like it could hold a lot more weight. The chains make it easy to adjust the height to preference, which we did a couple times before settling on one. We have 9’ ceilings and used about 60% of the chain length. We also followed the recommendation from other reviewers to get the Cuisinart coated offset hooks which are much better than the ones that come with this rack (for ease of use, the ones that come with seem sturdy enough, but less convenient). Looks nice and makes a huge difference to the way our kitchen looks by getting some things up off the counter.

Nice looking, easy to install, holds all my pans and some utensils.
Update to 2/2022. I bought this in 2016 and had it installed after my kitchen remodel. It's been great. Still hanging with no signs of problems. I certainly would recommend it.This was easy to install in my kitchen ceiling. It is totally adjustable as to height and easy to adjust if necessary. It holds all my pots and pans, (I haven't hung any of my cast iron pans on it though). It has a nice shelf for storage and I even have a few utensils hanging. One of my better purchases for my remodeled kitchen. I have been using it for over two years and it's looking as good as new.

Perfect pan rack at the cabin
For the price paid the rack is nice. I notice that it does fluctuate in price quite a bit on Amazon. Personally I would have preferred black chain with the set, but I can change that easy enough. I got this as a space saver in a weekend cabin. It works great for my purpose. For my purpose I didn't need a $200 rack to impress anyone. I'm hanging a full set of pots and quite a few utensils, plus all the lids up top. If I was ordering again I would add some black chain and more hooks. I ended up buying more hooks as soon as it arrived. I had no quality issues at all.

unsurprisingly, everything is my fault.
Great price for this. Installation would be easier if I wasn't a red blooded male with no stud finder. Now I've got 47 holes in my ceiling marked out with tape like I'm on a retarded crime scene trying to figure out the connection between suspicious bits of popcorn ceiling.5/5 would install like this again.

Cheap white steel
I just got done hanging this thing. I crawled up in the attic and did some framing to support the weight, threw out the hanging hooks that came with it, and replaced them with beefy lag-screw eye-hooks. Confident that I could hang five hundred pounds (total overkill) from my support point, I installed the unit.I put a cast-iron dutch oven up, which promptly broke the hook the pot was supposed to hang on, damaged my floor, and put a dent in my wall. Upon inspection of the break, I found that the hooks that come with the unit are made of cheap white-steel, which I wouldn't trust with twenty pounds.None of this is made of wrought-iron. I'm very nervous hanging more than a couple teflon pans on this thing, and I now have to replace my floor.

Pretty good!
It was easy to install. Hooks for hanging pots and pans are not the greatest quality but do the job.I wish the chains were black as well. It’s a really great size but I feel like it was costly.
