HiFi Cable with 2.5mm Trrs Balanced Male to Dual 2.5mm male Compatible with Hifiman HE400S, HE-400I, HE560 HE1000 Headphone & Compatible Astell&Kern AK240 AK380 onkyo DP-X1 FIIO

Bought this for my Monoprice Monolith M1060c's which I use with a Fiio BTR5 so I wanted to utilise the balanced 2.5mm output, and its a huge improvement on the original cable! The original braided cable for these headphones is notoriously microphonic, so this cable's lack of microphonics is enough for it to be worth it already. I've directly compared a number of headphones between balanced and unbalanced and this cable has had the biggest improvement of all I've tested. The sound seems substantially clearer and more separated, and also louder, as my BTR5 used to struggle a bit with powering the headphones, but with the balanced output it does it with ease. Whether these differences speak to this cable's quality or the original M1060c cable's lack of quality I'm not sure, but I'd definitely recommend for anyone with M1060c's, or any dual 2.5mm headphones for that matter. 10/10 would recommend

Bought this cable to go with my Onkyo DP-S1 and my Monolith M1060C headphones. Very pleased with the quality of the cable and the sound produced with the equipment it links. First time using a balanced cable and I’m so glad I made the upgrade. Well worth it.

Good cable for the money. It’s my first time using a balanced connection and it really opens the sound up. Music listened to on a 3.5mm output on an A&k SR15 feels stifled by comparison to the balanced output on the same device. If you appreciate the true clarity of sound from a recording, balanced is the way to go.

The quality of the connections looks good it works fine with my Audioquest Nightowl. The only problem for me is unfortunately it is very microphonic a tiny movement result in a lot of clicking and crackling. Shame really because otherwise it would have been perfect.

I know us audiophiles are madly forever trying to pursue perfection and may imagine what isn't there but I'm convinced this has improved the sound. I don't suffer with any issues as previous reviewer and balanced cables sell for crazy prices from £100 to £300 or even more, I really can't see warranting paying anymore than what this costs. My setup is Astell&Kern Kann with Audioquest Nightowls and this balanced cable worked a treat, it's not very supple and I feel more suited for people like me that sit quitely immersing themselves in album listening. I'm not one for walking about listening to tracks, as quality albums is more my thing, and think this would be a little wasted for that. Great value and in my opinion does the job.tj
