Lipper International 1138 Acacia Wood Standing Paper Towel Holder, 7-1/8" x 14-1/4"

This is a nice-looking wooden item and easily holds my Bounty towels. However, the base could be a little sturdier. The raised legs on the bottom create a pedestal effect and are wide enough apart that if you pull on the towel one-handed, the entire thing will tip towards you. I have since addressed this by sticking onto the base three rubber furniture bumpers that are the same height as the legs - the kind you stick on the bottom of chair legs so they don't scrape the floor. The base is now secure, but I am now out an odd number of furniture bumpers - not great when most furniture have an even number of legs...

I like that this stand has a traditional look to it, and I appreciate the darker hue of the wood. The only issue is that it doesn't seem large enough for a roll of Bounty paper towels.

Ticks the box in being a stick that holds paper towels. Bottom of holder has feet for an added flourish. Seems sturdy enough, no problems as reported by others. Brown finish adds a little warmth to the kitchen.

I love the look of this, but it’s so lightweight the entire thing moves when you remove a paper towel.

Not sure if they've fixed this since some other people reviewed the item, but people complained that you had to remove the post in order to apply a new roll of paper towels. At least with the brand I'm using, this is not needed. New rolls just glide right in. No hassle. Another possibility is they've changed the design in light of what some people complained. In any case, this wasn't an issue for me. One thing I was disappointed about though was the color. The one I received is more of a yellowish, light brown, as opposed to the picture on Amazon showed a darker, redish brown.
