If you're looking for a solid budget-friendly shotgun mic then you should seriously consider buying this mic. I make YouTube video's as a side hobby and always use the Rode VideoMic Go shotgun mic on my GH5. I ordered this mic to have an extra one on me for whenever i do outdoor shooting or when im travelling. I shot several videos, including review videos, using this mic and can honestly say there is "audibly" no difference between this mic and Rode's version, except $50. So at half the price of the Rode VideoMic Go - this is a no-brainer deal. The audio clarity is crisp and with post editing in Audition/Premiere Pro it becomes even crisper and more "full". Not only is the mic excellent itself but the overall packaging and presentation of this mic is outstanding. You get 2 3.5mm cables, windscreen muff, and standard muff, shock mount and carry case (see detailed pictures)For $50 this mic is a steal for what it does and what it comes with. I now use this interchangeably with my Rode VideoMicGo and there is no difference in audio quality.I Hope this helps someone!

If you don't see a difference, that is because there isn't any!Solution: Use Filmic pro. click settings, then audio. Pick the external mic.THis video shows a huge difference with the wind screen- it really works!I was given a mic to test in exchange for a fair review. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I love when a company can improve a product for more uses. I have multiple comica products and each time I am very impressed. This is a mark II or version 2 of a microphone that is portable. You can plug it into a dslr, camcorder or a mobile phone (as long as you have a 3.5mm jack input). The package comes with both adapter/cables to plug to either device.This microphone offers great sound in such a small form factor. I also love love love the fact that they provided a soft case to store it. You get good piece of mind knowing your equipment is safe. Plus I have OCD with organizing my things. lol.Please watch the video to get a sample of the audio from both plugged into my camera and my phone. You will also hear audio without the microphone for reference.

Beats any lapel mic you can find, and..well..it totally beats my Takstar. Check my video out for my full review. Spoiler Alert - I put this on my main camera as soon as I unboxed it. Secondary camera is running the Takstar.Pros:Metal construction - Sturdy AND springy.Weight - Extremely light weight.Cables - Comes with a cable to connect to phone and a cable to connect to camera.Wind Cover - VERY well done. Makes a big difference in the wind, AND in my office with the fan on.Something to consider when looking for a mic: This microphone DOES NOT have its own power source. If your camera doesn't support a microphone without a battery, this isn't the mic for you. Luckily my camera (Canon 200D) can use it without problem.I am extremely happy with this microphone. It's got a permanent place on my camera, for sure.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Wow this exceeded my expectations. This shotgun mic can be compared to the other $100+ ones out there on the market. There is no real difference other than the price, and the name. I would be more than comfortable using this out on a professional event for filming a wedding, to using it on my YouTube channel. This has a wide range of possibilities and portability at it's best. Please keep in mind there are 2 different 3.5mm cords, when making this video I didn't realize this till after. The gray ended cord is meant for a smart phone, and the all black cord is made for a DSLR/Video camera. The quality and clarity of this shotgun mic are amazing. This is useful and practical for any situation regarding video recording.
