Osprey Europe Men's Kestrel 48 Hiking Pack

I own half a dozen backpacks, but this is by far the best pack i've ever worn. Truly outstanding. Super comfortable and it hugs your back beautifully. Very well made with plenty of space and some nice features throughout. I recommend you make sure what size you'll need. I needed a Medium, so i went for the M/L. Take a little time to adjust it properly to your back and you'll be thankful that you did. There are videos on YouTube that talk about how to properly fit a backpack to your size.

Great backback, bought it for hiking and camping, enough room for a 2 day hike and has some great features. Really well made will last for years.. Hopefully.

Brilliant product and very very well thought out..really comfy to use and balanced well when loaded. Cannot be without this bag for my solo camping trips..awesome..buy one...you will not be disappointed

Love this pack, robust , comfortable and plenty of space.

Well made and has put up with hard use. Not especially lightweight, but that feels like a reasonable trade off for build quality. Happy with this pack after several fails from other well-known manufacturers.

The good:All round excellent pack; comfy and of quality you would hope from Osprey.Front pouch useful for wet jacket storage and good range of adjustment on back length straps.Built in rain cover (bright green) works quite well, although slightly flimsy in the wind.Walking like holder system works perfect.Doesn’t squeek against the frame like my older Exos did!Not so good:Hip belt pockets are useful and a good size, however, I can’t close them with one hand or with gloves on as the angles/securing of material to belt is badly designed. (Pulling zip causes picket mouth to open on the close draw, requiring a second hand to align it). Really annoying when using walking poles etc.I bought this kestrel to compliment an Exos pack I use for lighter duty trips, and noted it has similar side pockets which are accessible without taking the bag off (perfect and a real winner on the pre-22 model Exos) On the kestrel however, these pockets are way smaller and, annoyingly, much too tight to pull a Nalgene bottle or even a smaller flask out of via the side access hole - back to taking the bag off or doing contortionist tricks…

Couldn't get m/l in green anywhere else. This pack is a little heavier than some, but is tougher, has all the features I require and appears to be well made.

When you need to live out of a backpack this is the backpack. So many features. Quality construction. Lifetime warranty!

Backpacked in EU for a month and was not that comfortable. Lacks small pockets. But rugged tho.

Well I got this pack after allot of research and comparing it to the Rook 50 but ultimately picked this one. First the size is like the max size for carry-on bags so if you goal is to use it for traveling go forth. I was a bit skeptical the first time but it went flawlessly in the carry-on bin while traveling with Delta, United and American just don’t fill it to the brim of it when going with American as they did make me measure it and it fit by a feather inch. For hiking its super comfortable and it’s big enough for a weekend trip, haven’t tried it for longer since where I live (Puerto Rico) there aren’t trails for that amount of days but I’m sure it would be perfect. Super well made as always with osprey packs.
