Ridiculously Accurate
This is my only experience with Nerf's "Rivals" guns, but I was impressed. The reason that I got this was because other Nerf guns have a problem with the darts wearing out slightly and then popping out of the gun slightly. This causes jams and unreliability issues that are unacceptable when your life is on the line. These Kronos do not have this issue. We also had problems with the speed of typical ammunition. My brother is very fast and can dodge typical Nerf projectiles. Not these! These bullets fly down a long hallway faster than you can blink. This also results in minimal bullet drop. Most astonishing, these guns have unbeatable accuracy! I shoot with my brother, and we can reliably hit a target as small as a quarter from a distance of approximately 20 feet. He tends to simply point and shoot while I use the sights. I can testify that the sights can be relied on to be accurate -- although they are crude, they are spot on! These guns are very fast to reload, and we have only found one way to jam them. It is possible when loading to push a round into the barrel instead of the magazine. This will result in the gun firing two shots, neither of which are accurate or powerful. But, even after doing this, the gun still reloads and shoots the remaining ammunition perfectly. The only reason that you shouldn't buy these guns is that they are powerful. Delicate things could easily get knocked off of shelves with these guns. They also would be extremely painful to get shot in the eye, so it is a requirement that eye protection is used. Young children will not enjoy being shot by these. It is not painful like airsoft, but it can smart at very close distances. If the intended recipient of this gun is not especially tough, they should only use it if they are 12 I would guess. This is different for everybody. My 9-10 year old youngest brother uses one and enjoys using it. At close range, I would say it feels like a ping-pong ball thrown at maximum velocity. Use your best judgment. To summarize, these guns are the best for the price that money can buy. They are accurate, reliable, do not wear out their ammunition, do not jam, are quick to reload, and fire ammunition at blinding speeds. If you shoot nerf and are older than 12, buy this gun. I don't think you'll regret it.

Just buy it already!!
This Nerf blaster is awesome! Seriously it’s so much fun! It’s powerful too! Not enough power for you? That’s OK, you can do a quick google search and buy yourself a stiffer spring which could make it go from a 90fps blaster to a 140fps blaster. There are a whole bunch of 3D printed parts available on Etsy as well. Taking it apart is pretty simple and there are plenty of videos to help you if you’re a visual learner. Check YouTube for the best 3D printed accessories too. I have a few shown in the photos. This gun out of the box is pretty easy to prime for an adult but a child may have some difficulty. Buy that upgraded spring and even an adult may have some issues priming it. Just be ware if you do choose to change the spring. For the few negative reviews about the gun jamming, if you don’t prime it all the way back, it could get stuck mid prime. There’s a small orange tab on the back of the blaster that will release the priming handle and allow you to clear the jam and reprime. You could also use this to load two rounds at once if you’d like. Read the directions people. Don’t give negative reviews if you don’t read the directions first! Overall a lot of fun. If you’re thinking about buying, just do it. You won’t regret it.

The best handgun there is!
I got this because I have a friend that has one of theses guns, and I shot it, and liked it. when I first got it, I was surprised to find out how accurate and powerful it was, and even my dad thought that it was very accurate for a Nerf gun, and that is saying something. It holds five bullets, but I was able to make it hold six, by putting five into the clip, and putting one bullet in the chamber, and then I closed the chamber while holding down the other five bullets in the built in clip. I had recently been using the Nerf Disruptor, and then I compared them, with accuracy, speed, and power, and the rival was better in every way.The only thing that I didn't like about it, was that it was very hard to cock, but I didn't have much of a problem with it, being strong enough to cock it easily. The bad thing about having it very hard to cock, was that almost no one under the age of ten of eleven can cock it almost at all. It is very compact for how much power it actually has, and it is one of the best small guns out there for any one over the age of ten.

Originally bought for kids, but dad's keeping it
This was my first Nerf purchase intended for my school aged boys. As a dad, I was excited to show them. After some thought on not opening it for one of their birthdays, I decided to open it anyway. Wow, this thing can fly! I bought it because it was heavily discounted and had no clue the "Rival" line is for kids 14+.The loading takes a bit of force if your child is not strong enough to pull back. Once you get going, you will find things to shoot at around the house. Needless to say, kid's mom isn't impressed. This toy is pretty accurate too, so it makes it that much more fun once you get a game going. All in all, great first Nerf toy if you have an older kid. You will definitely need to consider buying more balls as the 5 that it comes with isn't enough if you shoot it with reckless abandon.
