I recently started a 10 step skincare routine and this is the product I chose for my first/oil cleanse. First off, I have oily and hormonal skin, 29 yr old female. I get shiny on my forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. I get hormonal acne. I always have little bumps on my forehead or on my temples. Some on my jaw and under my ears. This product smells great, herbal, very clean fresh scent from the natural oils in it. You apply this oil to dry skin, with dry hands, and rub all around your face. The oil bonds with the oils on your skin, it breaks down makeup, then you wet your hands and emulsify it on your face until it turns milky. I rub the milky liquid around my skin too. Then you rinse and follow with your 2nd cleanse. If your wear super heavy eye makeup i would recommend removing eye makeup first. I never have issues removing my mascara with this product, but I wear light to medium mascara and no eyeshadow. I feel it has definitely helped regulate my oil production!! On a stay at home day, ie: no makeup, if i didnt immediately wash in the morning my skin would feel oily by noontime. Not anymore. This leaves my skin feeling very soft and clean. I definitely reccomend this product for a first/oil cleanse, it's not meant to be used as a sole cleanser, alone. I wanted to remove 1 star because the product does go somewhat fast, the pictures show how much product is gone after about 9 days of using, twice daily. However, I could try to be more careful when dispensing the oil and its such a great product, it gets 5 stars because I think you could make this go far if you really are conscientious. I've used this product for almost three years now. I use the heavier version- the deep, or whatever it is- because my skin tends towards dryness. I've been oil cleansing and using Korean beauty products on my face since about 2014, and I have had far fewer issues with breakouts since then. As far as anti-aging benefits go,I just turned 50. People think I'm 35.The heavier version of this product is a thicker oil is not as easy to emulsify with water, but it leaves the skin softer and and it feels less stripped. I don't mind the extra time it takes. It completely melts makeup, and cleanses well.In addition to this cleansing oil, I use several other products from this brand that are amazing. If you do your homework and get products that suit your skin type and goals, Klairs is a solid, reasonably priced K Beauty brand that you can't go wrong with.

Cleansing oils and balms are tough because it can be really hard to find ones that work for your skin. I'm acne prone, still, at 36 years old - and i've tried a LOT of cleansing oils. This is the one I'm currently using, and i'm really liking it. It hasn't broken me out AT ALL, and its fragrance is mild and manageable. The only thing about this oil that is somewhat annoying is that it gets really thick when emulsifying, and it's difficult to get off your skin before you go in with soap - other oils will slip off with a little water and friction. BUT, it is very moisturizing and it's great for sensitive skin. Overall I'm really happy with the cleansing effect, how my skin feels after application, and will definitely be purchasing it again.

This is my go-to oil cleanser, though I’ve tried tons of products!I have a dry skin with a somewhat oily t-zone, and I’ve tried quite a few options for Korean oil cleansers, but Dear KLAIRS deep cleansing oil has been my go-to oil cleanser for quite some time now. No matter what I experiment with, I always find myself coming back to this one. I highly, highly, highly recommend it.Little background: I have started my journey with Korean skincare early 2019, right after I turned 28. Before that I was mostly using Estée Lauder. I made the shift for various reasons, but mostly because 1- I wanted to up my skincare routine that I was about to enter my thirties, and 2- I wanted my next brand(s) to be cruelty free. And Dear, KLAIRS is a well-known Korean brand that is not only ethical but also quite affordable, especially when compared to Western brands like Estée Lauder. And let me tell you, Dear KLAIRS is far more superior! — at least for me and the people I know who’ve tried their products.The first step in Korean skincare routine is oil cleansing, and for it you have two options. You either choose a cleansing oil (like this one) or a cleansing balm. I’ve tried both. And I’ve got to say, using cleansing oil, particularly this one, has been a delight. Not only does it clean the skin well (with or without makeup) but also it is so easy to use, super light on the skin, and highly moisturizing.But here is the thing: Although I love using this one for my everyday use, the size of it does not work for my travels. So here is what I do now: I have Dear KLAIRS deep cleansing oil in my bathroom, and I use it twice everyday, in the AM and the PM. Sometimes, I add a little bit of Dear KLAIRS Sugar Facial Polish on my T-zone to help cleanse my pores deeply and get rid of all those nasty blackheads. The mixture of the two works like a miracle!I have a cleansing balm, which I use only in my travels. Considering the texture of the balm, I find it so practical to carry on my travels. All I need is to take a small portion of the balm and put it in a small container. And voila! But if you ask me, I wish Dear KLAIRS have this cleansing oil in travel sizes. I would ditch all the balms I have for this one!A side note: I read a review or two that mention a bad smell, and I want to comment on that. I had bought this product from different websites: SokoGlam, Wishtrend, iHerb, and Amazon. They all smell great (if there’s any smell at all), except for the one from Amazon. That one had a weird smell so much so that I returned the product. Now I know where I should be getting my oil cleanser from— NOT amazon!
