A superb performer at a budget price.
First off a bit of background. I've been wet shaving for approximately 4 years. Early on, like many others, I felt compelled to sample as many soaps, razors and blades as possible. I've tried all of the "must haves". I quickly learned which soaps and razors I seemed to use the most. Mostly tallow soaps. Mostly medium to mild razors and blades. I have normal to slightly sensitive skin. Enter Trigodon soap. Very nice aluminum container. Wide enough to load a brush in---I bowl lather. Scent is mild. Very pleasing scent profiles. Present throughout the shave. Very nice! Lathering is extremely easy. Thick, creamy and glossy lather. Tight, dense bubbles. BTW I use mostly Omega and Semogue boar brushes. I have two synthetics which get some use as well. The lather spreads easily. Does not dissipate in any way. Easily lasts the entire shave. A warmed ceramic bowl keeps the remaining lather warm for the next pass. Razor glide is smooth and fluid. No skipping or stuttering as I pull it along. Easy WTG and XTG passes. I never do ATG passes. I dont chase BBS shave at all. I am perfectly content with DFS. Post shave was very nice. I couple of my tallow soaps did a tiny bit better but not by much. And they are double the price. My skin felt smooth--not dry. Normal--nor tight. I could have skipped post shave routine if needed. But as many wet shavers know the post shave routine is equally important---if not as much fun as the actual shave. I equally enjoy the preshave, shave and post shave portions. Post shave is very very nice! I did skip all pre shave products while initially testing this soap. In short this is a very very nice soap. A budget standout in all areas. Scent is very nice. Dissipates after shave as not to conflict with aftershave or cologne. Lather is thick, long lasting, creamy and cushioning. Post shave is excellent. I could easily skip post shave balms in summer months. I enjoy balms in winter for the extra protection. All in all a great soap at a great price. YMMV but I am extremely pleased with this product. I purchased two and will probably purchased the 3rd scent as well. I wish this company continued success. I hope folks discover what an excellent budget shave soap this is.

Excellent soap & cool tin. A sister to Cella.
I ordered this having never heard of this brand, admittedly because the tin looked cool. The ingredients sounded good, so I took a shot. I'm a 40-something woman who uses soap & a brush after years of canned foams & gels that always left my skin irritated & dry. My regular soap rotation includes Cella and Proraso. I ordered all 3 scents of the Trigodon - Woodland Umber, Wild Seas, and White Dunes. Woodland Umber is probably the most masculine and woodsy - "wet forest" comes to mind. Wild Seas & White Dunes both smell fresh & oceany (but not coconuty) with a hint of citrus. The scent on all 3 is very light and not overwhelming, and I don't notice a heavy fragrance when I lather - but bear in mind I'm also not lathering my face as a man would, so your mileage may vary. The texture & performance of this soap is almost identical to Cella, if you're familiar with that, although Trigodon seems firmer/harder than Cella. I added a tiny bit of hot water to the top of the soap and let it sit for maybe 3-5 minutes, poured most of it off, and spent maybe 5-10 seconds loading my wet brush. I didn't need anymore time because Trigodon lathers incredibly easily and quickly straight from the tin, and produces a lot of thick, rich, stable lather. Close shave with no irritation or dryness, and clean rinsing. I will take it a step further & say this performs slightly better than Cella. If you like Cella's performance but don't like the fragrance, or just want to try something different, I would highly recommend you give this brand a shot. Also, the metal tin has a screw-on lid and seems like it would be excellent for travel, and is a nice standard size that would be reusable for other soaps once you empty it. I am enjoying this soap and it will be a new regular in my rotation.

Smooooth!!! And smells great!
I am novice to wet shaving but have finally just about chucked my electric shaver. After using up the shaving cream that I purchased with a kit from my local boutique shaving shop, I decided to try shaving soap (supposedly better and cheaper per shave). Trigodon's Woodland Umber soap is my first try and I love it. It lathers great, goes on great, smells great, and over the last few weeks of consistent use, I can really tell my skin looks and feels so much better. The steely canister looks cool and is really easy to use. As a newbie, I liked the QR code link to a youtube video on how best to use the product. I will definitely be sticking with shave soaps and will try some of Trigodon's other scents. Good product over all.

Great Performance, But the Scent...
I don’t know what to say! I’m a veteran wet shaver and I’ve never experienced a soap that was so good and so bad at the same time. The performance of the soap is top notch. It’s right up there with the best soaps I’ve used. It’s easy to work up a superb, creamy lather with wonderful cushion and glide. But, the scent... this is where I’m speechless. Awful, is one of the only words that come to mind. I don’t even know how to describe it other than vile.I’m wondering if I got a bad tin. It’s honestly hard for me to believe that anyone could find this scent pleasant. It’s a pity, because the actual shaving experience is fantastic. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can get beyond the scent. If the soap smelled even remotely nice, this would be a five star review ...

Great soap, make sure to bloom it with hot water first
Great soap that smells amazing. Great slickness and glide. I was reluctant to try as most vegan soaps dont provide much cushion, but this one does. It is a very thirsty soap and doesn't seem like you load a lot on your brush, but use a little extra hot water (or bloom water) and BOOM lather explosion. This soap will last a long time.Comes in a quality tin and smells like clean linens

AWESOME SHAVING SOAP!
When I first received the soap in the tin can about the size of a shoe polish can, for the money, I was disappointed. Now it is my favorite shaving soap, as it lasts a very long time. 5 spins with a damp shaving brush in the can, whips up enough creamy lather for 3 passes on a heavy beard if needed.

Best Shaving soap of Indian origin
This would be my 4th order. Haven't regretted till now... forms a good lather and provides good lubrication... I use a straight razor and this soap is perfect for it

Exemplary experience
I have been using this product for a while now. I love the fact that in less than 7-8 brush strokes the shaving cream lathers for a shave. I like unscented products. It suits my purpose perfectly.
